This tool has no mechanism for the fixating ot the saw but only a short ***** part 53 its a fault in the manual , it simply replace the saw with a screwdriver. or simply the clamp ***** to release turn it loose and from the top you can replace the clamp ***** Bosch B4300 0601582535 Jig Saw Parts
In most models at the blade shuck holder is a screw that thigh the blade, unscrew it and change your new balde . Also Go to this LINK and find the part/diagram that can help you.
go to Boschtools.com and you can order online or find a Bosch center near you the part number is 2 603 400000 and it lists for 1.20, let me know if you need more assistance.
The only clamp part you need is 2603400000 . It may be down in the shaft already. You need a thin flathead screwdriver to stick in the hole at the front of the handle. This is the bosch part number for their screwdriver for this jigsaw JA1001 .
You need a long shafted flat head screwdriver that fits into the hole in the handle above the blade. Then simply loosen or tighten the screw inside there, and the blade twists 90 degrees and will pull completely out. Reverse to install. Also see pg 7 of instruction manual (click here.) I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread. If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks
What's the model number of that saw?
If it's one of the old ones, a 1581 VS or some such, you need a long thin flat-head screw driver that fits through the hole in the top of the handle and reaches down far enough to unscrew (loosen it) the set screw that holds the blade locked in place. Then you twist the blade 90 degrees (perpendicular to the direction of cut), and pull it out. Reverse process for installation, making sure before you tighten the blade it rides in the groove on the guide bearing below.
If that doesn't seem like it's the correct sequence for your saw I apologize.
The Bosch website won't accept any 10 digit tool product numbers due to some glitch in the system, and they made so many variations on that saw it'd make your head spin.
That's the other way some of them loosen up, actually, is by pulliing up the plastic head at the top of the handle and unscrewing it a few turns to loosen the blade.,, Vice versa for install..
Hope this helps a bit!
the screw is a flat head but you need a long series screwdriver you have to loosen the screw first then turn the blade sideways remove then place new blade in sideways turn to straight then tighten screw again its not too hard at all best of luck glenn.......
