Hi vivek_cv99 You need to check the read and write speeds and also the dvd max speed . if issue remains , your drive is defective . Best regards , fanaudi .
your computer might be slow if ur conf. is low, upgrade ur ram and processor. if ur ram is small then it happens.if it still hapens reinstall the nero burner
i think your writer or burner is not in dma enabled mode. you can search on net how tomake drives dma enabled. you can easily fint it . if it doesn't work then you need to delete some keys in registry. you can follow the procedure foe deleting keys at url http://sniptools.com/vault/getting-back-to-dma-mode-in-windows-xp
replace it. samsung cd rom even its dvd writer have lots of problems. sometime they dont want to open unless you leave a cd in it. sometime it doesnt read cd. better change it. get a Sony, LG, Pioneer DVD writer.
Just right click on my computer, go to properties> hardware> device manager> IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers. there u will find several primary and secondary IDE Channels. Right click on first IDE channel and goto properties> Advanced settings, change transfer mode to "DMA if Available". Repeat it with all the channels. If problem still persists then uninstall the channel containing ur DVD Writer and restart your computer. It will detect new hardware as DVD Writer. Now if it is showing the transfer mode "DMA if Available" by default then your problem is solved.
generally d cd,dvd writer or cd,dvd player of SONY creates dis problem it is unable to read local disks due to high sensitivity of dere lenses...
i hv seen in many cd,dvd writers havin dis type of problems...
it can not made....
but i would prefer u to use LG cd,dvd writer which is capable of readin all local or orignal disks..
1. go to device manager
/ right click on cd drive
/ uninstall driver
/ reboot and windows will reinstall driver
2. go to My computer
right click on cd drive
properties - check digital cd playback
recording - check enable cd recording on this drive
driver - update or uninstall
reboot your computer
Goodluck!
