Skip dealing with it. You don't need the $110 BS "upgrade" as this is a driver issue. Jabra could very well have provided a downloadable and install-able driver for the GN 9350 that would work perfectly, and tell windows not to use the unsigned USB driver in the headset firmware.

Fortunately there is a quick-fix workaround... it is only a little bit of a pain (and proof that their $110 firmware upgrade is not necessary).
When you want to use the jabra with Win7:
1. Plug it into your computer via USB.
2. Go to your playback devices menu (right-click the speaker icon in the system-tray)
3. Set the GN 9350 as the default device for recording and playback.
(right-click, and test, should error (couln't play test tone)
4. unplug the power to the reciever/base.
5. wait 10 seconds.
6. plug it back in.

7. may need to set it as the default again, but you should be good for a while, just don't switch back and forth too much between computer and phone.

SOURCE: Hi i am using windows 7 and GN Netcom GN 8110-USB

HELLO, I THINK THE PROBLEM IS FROM YOUR WINDOOWS, IS EITHER YOUR WINDOWS IS NOT GENUIE OR THE SOFTWARE IS NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED, AND IF IT IS PROPERLY INSTALLED, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TO REINSTALL THE WINDOWS AND TRY INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE AGAIN, I BELIEVE THAT WILL WORK.

GN 9350 randomly switches out of telephone mode into computer mode during a call.

If you haven't already tried this, disconnect the base unit from the computer and then see if the problem continues. If it does, there is likely a fault in the electronic switching in the base unit. If the problem doesn't continue, then it could be an intermittent switch on the base unit. You could try pressing and releasing the computer switch on the base unit multiple times. Maybe even lightly pry it up with your fingernail to make sure it's not stuck down. From my understanding any phone connection will override computer audio, so while on a phone call even if you computer beeps, it should not switch to computer audio. Hopefully this will narrow down the issue.

The blue light on my base unit is on but the headset does not app

Unplug the unit -- Then grab the ear peice, and slide off the battery, wipe off the metal prongs ...leave apart for a couple minutes, then put back together. Make sure you plug the unit back in. It will take a couple hours for the battery to charge. But this should solve your issue.

GN 9350 Headset won't charge, blue light remains off I tried the solution of placing the headset on the charging cradle, then pressing both phone/USB button simultaneously The headset light...

Unplug the unit, then take the ear piece and slide the battery off .... When you have the battery detached from the ear piece, wipe off the metal prongs, leave it off for a few minutes, then put back together. Make sure you plug the unit back in. It will take a couple hours for the unit to be charged. That should take care of the issue.

Headset button will not lift receiver unless ringing

You should be able to press the button on the headset as many times as you like and the lifter will respond, whether the phone is ringing or not

GN 9350 Wireless Headset doesn't ring on the headset when phone rings

It only picks up certain digital rings. I changed the ringer on my phone and had the same problem. To fix it, I had to plug in the little microphone that plugs into the handset lifter and place the mic over the ringer speaker. Now it works fine.
