We just purchase a used LG all in one washer/dryer and the wash cycle works fine, but the dry cycle doesn't. The drum turns but there's water coming in on the dry cycle in the amount that it comes in on the wash cycle and the items being washed are continually getting soaked, not dried.
Any ideas?
I had the same problem with my machine this week and I discovered an auxillary drain that was clogged with lint. If you lift the inner lip on the bottom of the door gasket you will see a small hole. This hole is actually connected to a skinny tube that drains to the main water pump. Mine was clogged with lint and the water that had accumulated there was draining back into the drum and soaking the clothes again. I cleaned it out and blew air through it and now the machine works like new again. I hope this helps.
The unit is made to bring water in in the drying cycle ,,the water dont touch the clothes..the water is to take the lint away and to cool the drum,,you must remember that you can was 22 pounds but you can only dry 11 pound..so you must dry about half of what you wash..and drying the 11 pounds it will take 3 to 4 hours,,no exhaust...
I solved the issue after some extreme research and reviewing so many of your ideas and options. Thank you firstly, they did come in handy for figuring out these simple steps for perfection.
step 1.
ensure you have drained all the water from any and every possible reservoir on the machine.
step 2.
Remove any of your belongings from the drum.
Step 3.
Invite some good friends and family over for some evening cocktails. NOTE* IT IS CRUTIAL TO NOT INVITE PEOPLE THAT DONT DRINK, as you will be serving very stiff cocktails.
Step 4.
Once the Left/Right politics and religious arguments start to get heated, let everyone know that you need their help moving a washing machine.
Step 5.
Ensure the argument hasn't stopped but rather come to its climax, and send the Republicans downstairs with some rope, and the democrats to drag the washer to the patio deck and tying one end of the rope to the washer.
Step 6.
Once the folks downstairs have securely tied the rope to the end of their truck, Have the people upstairs yell as loud as possible: "Regan should have been more like OBAMA"
Step 7.
Flip the bird back at the folks downstairs and because they are so enraged and wasted, completely forgetting about the rope, you get to watch your watch your washer take off into the sunset at about 50mph. Problem solved.
I'm having the same problem with water coming in during the dry cycle. Has anybody figured out the problem
LG WD-3274 RHD stated doing the same thing - you can hear the water running after each pump out in the dry cycle, its runs enough to wet the bottom of the drum so clothes won't dry.
Tried cleaning the drain holes in above comment, tried reboot ,pull plug and hold power button for 30 sec. Still no luck. does anybody have the fix for this yet?
LG WD-3274RHD I have the same problem. Tried cleaning the drain tube as mentioned above, tried reboot [pull power plug, hold power button for 30 sec] still no luck. Has anybody solved this yet? Tried pump out procedure [press and hold option, spin, then power, release then press start/stop]
I finally solved this problem for real. Ok the 3rd water feed valve supplys cooling water to the condensing phase of the drying opertation. A small orifice in this line [and it can be anywhere] controls the flow. I installed a nylon plug in the rubber hose that goes form this valve to the drying chamber and drilled a 3mm hole through the plug. this meters the amunt of water used in the drying condensing cycle. The original valve had an orifice that did this function, but during a freeze up it must have deleted itself.
correction to the hole diameter use about 0.3mm - you can increase the hole diameter, just not so big that it floods the drum and your clothes get wet. I bought some really small drill bits a Harbour Freight, and drilled until I got good flow, but didn't set the clothes. the dryer actually works better than original. Also when winterizing the dryer, you really should open the top of the dryer and drain this feed hose to the drying chamber.

SOURCE: Dryer will not Dry!
A conventional dryer uses 240 volts to heat air, which passes through the tumbling laundry, picking up moisture, which is then vented to the building's exterior.
Your dryer uses 120 volts to warm air, which picks up moisture from the tumbling clothes, which then passes through a vent pipe in the back right corner of the dryer where a cold water spray causes the moisture to condense, run to the drain, and then is pumped out of the washer/dryer combo. There is no exterior vent to the outside of the building. Drying with your dryer will take at least twice as long as with a standard dryer. You can wash large loads, but can only dry small loads, and the clothes will not be as dry when dryer is finished as they will be with a standard dryer.
All that said, to make sure your dryer is performing as well as it can, you might like to take the back cover off and check the elbow at the very left bottom corner (when viewed from behind) to make sure nothing is obstructing the flow of water under the tub to the drain.
SOURCE: water fills drum (top loader) even when off
Your problem is a jammed water solenoid, If you take the top off the machine it is possible to remove and either strip it down to see if it is dirty or replace it. your washer hose usually connects directly to it.

It could be the high limit thermostat and the thermistor. That is what the repair man said but he is not sure. We have not fixed it yet. Any confirmation that this is the problem would be appreciated.
dryer spits out water clothes is very wet does not dry
My unit pumps in a large amount of water during the drying cycle. More than the amount it is supposed to.
