Blue screen?! I was watching a dvd and pressed the button 'PSCAN/NORMAL' on the INSIGNIA remote control. The screen immediately went blue! I pushed the button again and nothing changed. I proceeded to press every button on the remote but still nothing changed. I picked up the TV remote and pressed the 'input' button several times until my dvd channel screen appeared again but it was still blue. I've unplugged and plugged back in the dvd player but still the blue screen again. How do i get the screen to my play my dvd again? Thanks for any help. al

Hi,
I'm not sure what is model number of your VCR-DVD combo so providing you general info to turn off pscan.
Put disc in player, press play to have distorted picture then press stop button to stop playback.
Now press and hold Stop button on unit for 6 seconds that will turn off pscan mode.
Or let me know exact model number of your player to find out solution.

- Open disk tray
- click set up button
- click the arrow button pointing left
- press enter
- click the arrow button pointing up
- press enter
- press enter again

I got this off of a website yesterday evening and figured I'd give it a try. Well, it worked. The screen went back to it's original state and the PSAN error (in the middle of the screen) disappeared.

I hope this information help you with your problem. 1.- Power on with no DVD inside the player; 2.- Press open on the DVD player; 3.- Press Menu button on DVD (or SETUP on remote control), (you see General Setup Page on the screen); 4.- Press the right key 3 times to select the Preference Page; 5.- On the remote control press 9653; 6.- Use the up and down key to select the Region, Select 0 for all regions; 7.- Press Enter. (This works with NS-7PDVD and NS-8PDVD)

I had the exact same problem and I consulted the manual. All you have to do is turn the PSCAN swtich off. It is located on the back of the dvd player. Then turn the dvd player back on and your problem should be fixed.

had the split screen with pscan triangle looked for the button on the back, no button but on the remote was a button named V.MODE pressed it and everything back to normal thanks for the help

Hi ! There is a switch at the back of the DVD which controls the pscan. just turn it off.
