Fisher paykel gwl15 won't pump out water

Our Fisher Paykel gwl15 will not empty the tub at the end of the wash cycle. You can hear a relay snap (close?) then the pump motor just hums. Do we need a new pump or could the problem be something else?

My F & P Model GWL15 did the same thing. I purchased a new pump but that was not the problem. Tip the machine back and look under. There is a valve diverter that I removed and checked. There was a dime and lots of lint stuck in the valve so it wouldn't move back and forth anymore. I downloaded a parts manual, page 10 and item # 23 is the valve diverter. Once I unclogged it and put it back together, it worked great. I noticed it works better than it has for a long time. I'm a 60 yr old woman so anyone can do this. Good luck.

THANK YOU so much for this post! You probably saved me a repair call. After running the diagonostic it said water valve error. But checking them the flow seemed just fine. The machine had been slow to start for weeks, and I could hear the machine checking the water level before it ever started filling with water, but the pump checked fine too. (It had also been taking an abnormal amount of time to go through the rinse an spin cycles) I took of the diverter, and a ball of lint flushed out from water that had not completely drained out. Now it is running like when it was brand new!

The washer squeals as the water is filling the tub and continues through most of the cycles. As the machine agitates quickly, the squealing stops. However, it squeals at the end of the cycle.

Sounds like the pump.  When it first fills the pump recirculates the water, then it comes on at the end of each cycle to drain the water.  The pump is on the bottom of the machine, on the right side.

Fisher paykel gwl15 overfills and will not advance

Is it filling so it is flooding your floor? Could be that too many suds are in the pressure switch tube ( are you using "he" soap? ) or the pressure switch is not registering the water level. Note the lights illuminated when it beeps and call F/P.

Fisher Paykel washing machine model # GWL15 drips

Hi Dale..
It sounds like you have a leaky inlet valve assembly. The part number is 421029P and is easy to replace. You can get one here:

Musty odor in laundry

I would say that you are getting a build up of soap and oil from our bodies, on the inside of your wash bowl.
The Tubs pull out of the washing machine really easy and then you can water blast the two tubs.Solves this problem?
Once you learn how to pull the tub out you can also clear a blocked pump.
I have a after market lint filter fitted to my F&P washing machine, works wonders .
ask your local whiteware Man for some hints on a Bowl removal.
