Problem with over-exposed photos

Hi ! I have a Samsung Digimax S500 camera which has worked fine until recently when all new still photos have been very over-exposed, so that all one can see in the review is a mainly white screen with faint touches of colour if one angles the screen. But indoor pictures, with flash, come out OK. The old photos in the memory are still OK. However, when in video mode, it works perfectly, and the colour and exposure are realistic. Even when downloaded to a computer, the photos are all over-exposed, except for the indoor flash ones and the videos which are OK Any suggestions as to what I can do to correct this sudden recent glitch? Is there a local (London) Samsung store which may be able to help ? Regards, Gerry Netto

My suggestion is to try to reset to factory settings.

You may have accidently affected an exposure timing setting.

Or just try to use it in an automatic mode.

I sounds like a setting, since indoor flash pics are good, as you say.
