1st you need to know what error code it is giving to know where the problem is coming from
1-remove the tray and look behind it and to the right where the tires are to look for any pieces of paper
2-open the right door and look down towards the tray, there is a small black lever (this is the sensor) check if stuck or piece of paper
3-on top there is a black unit where the paper goes through this gets very hot, it is the fuser with these models paper can get stuck in it and not be really noticeable, you will need to remove the unit
turn off and let cool, take out the four screwes and remove the plug it is easier to see and remove any paper
these are the only places there can be paper, if not (highly unlikely) bad or broken sensor.
