Its defrost problem, the freezer should cool, then freeze, then defrost cycle should start. In your case freezer is cooling, then freezing, but its not defrosting. That's why fridge section is not cooling.-------

The solenoid that controls gas flow to the fridge evaporator is faulty. Secondly, check the fridge thermostat sends power when required.

The ice buildup is the problem. Cold air must pass from the freezer to cool the refrigerator.
