Printer cant print excel files

The printer can print word files and that too when i select AUTO SELECT in the tray column in page setup menu, but this menu is not available in excel page setup and when ever i give print command it gives error PC LOAD LETTER. ive adjusted the paper size to a4 but it only prints doc files...help

  • dembo Oct 11, 2008

i get the pc load error message every time I send to print mail from outlook express and from gmail.

on the set up (advanced) paper size is letter although the default is a4.

I have to change than manually on the printer set-up to paper size a4 otherwise the printer does not work.

The default for the printer is of course a4 but

I have another printer (sumsong) and I see that when i send to this printer from outlook and gmail it also shows letter size but it prints ok with no need to change set up.

    thanks for your help!!

Chjange the page size of the excel document, it at present is set to letter, ...file page set up in excel

Some printers hjave an option to resize or ignore A4 / Letter paper size missmatch, normally an option via printer control panel, some ignore size missmatch, others dont, but either way, the correct method is change the document paper size of the document to be the same as the paper size set in printer driver... HP LJ4's do have the option in the menu to ignore a4/letter mismatch, check in menu settings on printer itself.

How to change Tally T2240/24 Matrix Printer character and line spacing

This sounds like an Microsoft Excel issue. The Windows printer driver controls how printing is done regardless of your printer settings.

Excel controls the format of your page with column widths and line height. Depending on your version of Excel, after selecting your print range and your margins, you will need to go to Page Setup and select "Fit to" -- select 1 page wide and a larger number of pages tall.

Prints from Manual Tray instead of Tray 4

Open a document. Select File>Page Setup and change the Source to Tray 4.

Or...

Try to print something. When the Print window comes up, select Preferences. On the Print/Quality tab look for the drop down menu labeled "Source is:" and change it to the tray you want. Click on the Save button.

I have DELL color laser printer 2130cn error msg load SSF ??

Its not a printer problem more of the paper source of that document is selected as SSF. So in most programs go FILE>PAGE SETUP. Select the paper tab and make sure the correct tray settings is selected. I.E "Default tray" instead of "SSF". cLICK "Default" at the bottom to make this the standard document settings and the problem shouldn't crop up again.

My hp laserjet 4 plus printer cannot print excel files

wherer are you printing this, A4 is european, north america would use letter, etc..
if you go to control panel, open the printers and faxes folder, right click the printer in question, a window will pop up, click on properties.. a new window should open. click on "Printing Defaults" or "Printing Preferences" then click on "Advanced" ( I believe it should be to the lower left) that will open another window, in paper size make it Letter if your in N America, A4 for Euro.. this will set the deafult print..
Click ok, then print a test page from the general tab..

The reason you getting this LOAD LETTER message. your excel page setup is set to print to letter, your machine is set to print top A4

If you open Excel then go to Print then a window should pop up where you select the printer you want to use, click on Properties, then Lay out, then Advanced, and input the correct paper size before you print.

does this happen with all excels files, or one particular?
Create a new Excel file, and try printing it.. possibly could be in that particular file. I have seen this happen alott particulary with PDF files.. Where the incorrect paper size is in the file..
