Olympus Stylus 710 Error: D: 5f08 5f0a 5e02 5f08

This happens when i was about to connect my camera with the USB cord onto the computer then this screen shows up: 5f08 5f0a 5e02 5f08 5e02 with a blue background. so then i started a i started puuling the lens..but it didntr work, so i tryied hitting it...(but it only made it worst?)
when i turn on my camera, the lense opens ALMOST half way up and the lens in the center doesnt close all that way, and while it does, it makes a whirr noise. And it also shows the blue screen with the 5f08 5f0a 5e02 5f08 5e02. And then when i pres the power off/on button ( to try and turn it off) it doesn the same thing but makes the whirr noise once and the blue screen shows up AGAIN with the 5f08 5f0a 5e02 5f08 5e02. And then a while later without pressing OR touching anything it does the same thing again.
i can see the pictuers...but it wont let me takes pictures..
does anyone knows why this happens? and is there anyway the i can fix this?

i have the same exact problem. this just happened about a month after i went to six flags and my camera was in a bag as i was riding the cable car. apparently the seat on the cable car was wet and my camera stopped working for about a week. then it started working again. just yesterday i wanted to take a picture and it got blurry so i had to use a camera phone. i tried pulling it. it worked the first time, but after it just stopped. i dont know what to do with it now!

this is the most common problem with the olympus cameras the lens has been knocked and by you pulling on the lens it sounds like you have done some damage to the motor that bring the lens in and out thats why its making that noise what you needed to do was move the lens either to the left or the right you will no when its fixed because the lens just pops out and the camera will be fine this works every time i just hope you havnt done to much damage alredy goodluck

Blue screen is coming with 5e02 erroe

Hello Sanjay -- NOT a good sign I'm afraid the 5E02 message is a PCB error.
I just checked a website for a manual with trouble shooting ideas to send you and the sites are full of 5E02 problems and the only solution appears to be - Take it back to a shop if under warrantee.
Problems were UK , USA & Australia -- (I use www.google.co.uk ) as my search engine and i typed
"olympus 5e02 error message" and it applied to non-focussing problems , no display etc

Blue screen with the following codes D: 340a 5f0B 5f0a 5f0B 5e02 How can i fix this?

The error message (D: 5e02) means that your lens is dying / dead. It just happened to mine and I was told that it could be repaired, but it would cost as much as a new camera. I've only had mine 2 years and I've been really careful with it, so I'm a bit annoyed, but I have used it a lot!

You must visit the dealer or Olympus techinican to solve it this ans the other codes.

Olymus 710 will not focus error code 5e02

as your powering up slap the camera in the palm of your hand, the lens is out of adjustment

I have a problem "D: 5f08 5e02". with my camera

Someone else posted the fix for this and it worked for me!
Hold the camera with the lens facing straight up toward the sky. Turn on camera. I had to do it 4 or 5 times before my camera started working correctly. Amazingly simple solution that I'm so glad someone shared with us!
