My kodak c142 says memory card unusable. Before it works fine but when I transfer my pix to my pc and format it my cam says memory card unusabe. Why? The first time i do this nothing happens it works well, then the second time it says unusable. Same process bit different result. What bothers me my pc can read my sd card and when i insert a different sdcard my kodak reads it. Why?

the lack of replies suggests you'd be better off putting a memory card into anything else other than a Kodak easyshare..... just look on here at the amount of Kodak & easyshare problems there are....... but for the record, "GOOGLE" mentions 32GB works fine and class 4 or over.
Hello Gerald, Do you mean after uploading the photos to your PC ? Try to format the card using the camera set up menu and see if this helps, sounds like the card got corrupted during the upload.
Try putting the new memory card into the camera and format the card. If the camera doesn't accept that it has a memory card turn the camera off remove the battery and then after about ten seconds put the battery back in and turn it on and see if you can format the new card again. You should always format the memory cards in the camera, even though there is a delete for single images leave them on the card and format the card. Always format the card in the camera not the computer. By deleting single images in on the card while in the camera it sets up little partitions and pretty soon the memory card is rendered useless. Formatting in the computer writes a little program to the card which the camera can not read.
The card may have become corrupted. Use a separate card reader and download any pictures from the card. Then, insert it into the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions.
