Sounds like you may need to adjust tension on the belt. To do that you have to expose the motor which will be in the back side of dryer and in the lower left or right hand side. Remove the access panel or on some models you have to remove entire back and then you will see the motor, there will probably be 2 bolts that need to be loosened on motor then you will need a small pry bar to apply tension on motor to tighten belt. Retighten bolts and put back cover on.

the motor has been hot and needs to be replaced if it runs with no cloths but wont run with a load or does the motor run but the tub not turn if this is the case you may just need a belt

sounds like the motor is running, the belt could likely be broken and be the culprit, this is if the motor is turning for sure after you start the dryer

It could have blown the thermal fuse. On many dryers there is a thermal fuse that will blow if the dryer overheats. It is usually mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter. No continuity means it is bad. This is assuming that power is getting to the washer. Have you checked the house breaker box to see if it tripped a breaker? Hope this helped.

Make sure there's power getting to the washer. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the washer, if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.

If all checks out OK above, replace the control or, timer module.

Remove the vent from the rear of the dryer.
With no clothes in the dryer and the dryer set for hi heat run the dryer several minutes.
With a accurate thermometer check the exhaust vent temperature.
It should be 135 to 160 degrees.
If it is, you are OK. Just need to clean your vent and connecting tubing.
If not, replace your gas valve coils.

Sell the dryer and get an electric one. Conversion is not possible. Be advised that electric dryers run on 220 volts and require a special plug. hope this helps!
