It seems nero still has a lock on the drive have you tried to Uninstall/Reinstall Nero.
Putting the drive in another pc will confirm if Nero has done something nasty windows wise to stop the drive working. If it repeats in another pc or if you cannot test this way it may be worth flashing the drive. Samsung has a live update program and some great FAQs on flashing here,
check in your control panel add remove make sure none of the programs you uninstalled are showing if they are remove me
also check start and then programs sometimes you need to uninstall through there if they give you the uninstall option
Have u recently reinstalled your windows drivers? If yes then better run your Nero disc and reinstall the whole bundle.This would make things right.It might be that the system shows nero installed but some registry settings have been bugged up?
