It could either be a bad door switch or something stuck in the pump or a bad pump.if you set it to drain/spin will it drain out the water or does it buzz there?if it does drain i'd have to say you have a bad door switch.the model number you sent doesn't come up,you can unplug the machine, remove the hose that goes to the pump or run it before you unplug it and see if it's the pump making the sound or if the center of the pump can be removed to clean out the pump and check the pump for coins and junk, use a shop vac and vac out all the water in the tub and then lossen the hose or center of pump until water starts to leak out and vac it up as it comes out, check the pump and put it back together, add some water with a bucket or something and see if it drains out,if it doesn't drain and it sounds like the pump is making the noise you have a bad pump,if it buzzes and it's not the pump change out the door switch.the buzzing is electrical, things that could make this sound are the motor, the solenoids on the water valve or the door switch,if you can do some checks like see if it drains or try to find where the noise is coming from would be helpful.good luck and i hope this helps you out.

still the wrong model number, did you check the pump yet?it doesn't matter about the model now, when you find the problem call your parts store and give them the model number off of the machine, open the door and look around the opening where the door closes into and you'll see the model number, give it to them and they will sell you the part you need.good luck with your washer.

What should I do to stop washer from putting grease on clothes?

Good Afternoon Bernard,

I understand the washer of your Frigidaire laundry center, model# GLEH1642F, is leaving grease in your clothes. I also see that you noticed the grease in the detergent cup. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your washer and determine where the grease is coming from to be able to repair your appliance. Hope this is helpful.

My frigidaire affinity front load washer buzzes and will not cycle what wouldcause that?

Good Morning Friend,

I see that your Frigidaire Affinity washer, model# ATF7000E, is buzzing and will not cycle. Some possible causes of this could be:

-Your washer is overloaded with clothes. Try taking some clothes out and restarting.
-There could be an article of clothing that might have slipped in between the gasket and the drum that might be stopping the drum from spinning. Check to see if there are any clothes that might be missing and possibly stuck between the drum and gasket.

If you have tried the above solutions and are still having trouble, I suggest giving your washer a hard reset. You will do this by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes. After the time has passed, restore power and start a cycle. If your appliance is still buzzing and not spinning, I suggest that you contact your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your washer and determine the cause of the buzzing and why it is not spinning. Hope this is helpful.

FTF530FS Front Load washing machine. Clothes smell.

all front load washers have the problem. Mold and a build up or dirt and soap and fabric softner cause s old musty smell. The low water use makes the machine dirty and build up inside. Run a few Hot water washes with out clothing, Run it empty ,(run your hot water neer your washer to get the cold water out of the house pipes) hot water and pour bleach in side, 2 or more cups. Keep doing it. When your not using washer leave the door open so air can get inside. Hot wash,es with bleach will keep it clean, also dont use fab softner.

My washer smells. After washing clothes the clothes smell and i always leave dorr open between washes

Front loaders are known for building up mold and the smell.
It’s caused by using liquid detergent which is made from animal fat. Use powder. And use the minimum amount.
It’s caused by using fabric softener. Dilute it 50/50 with water.
It’s caused by the water remaining in the tub between washes. Leave the door open to allow it to dry. .
Pull the rubber door seal back and clean the mold off .

I have a two-year old Frigidaire GLTF2940FSO front loader washer that has stopped in the middle of a load leaving water in the drum and will produce a buzzing sound no matter what cycle you put it on. We...

did you try unplugging it and plugging it back in to see if you can get it to reset? Would it buzz when you try to drain it? Does the door latch lock when it goes into the wash cycle? Usually the door latch locks when it goes into the wash cycle and stays locked. So it filled up, the door latch should lock, then should go into wash cycle. Then you said few minutes later it stops. How did you get the door open? reason i ask is Usually i would see the clothes get stuck inside the washer because the door latch is still locked when it stops. Was the door unlocked when it stoped. If so maybe something going on with the communication from the board to the door latch maybe. Did you try operatin the drain?

I have an older front loading washer Frigidaire and it's now smelling like mold on all our clothes thought it was me leaving clothes in to long but it's not. model #FWT445GES2 serial #XC74463636 . I have...

No recall, Pour 2 cups of bleach into the washer, Wash on HOT water, long cycle. Then wipe seal with dry cloth. This will eliminate the mold smell... To stop it from coming back ALL front load washer doors MUST be left open to allow the rubber seal to dry, Just like you close your shower curtain so it doesn't get musty smelling... 2 hours is about the dry time... wiping the seal with a cloth usually helps too... All located in your owners manual/

Frigidaire (LTF2940E) Washer starts, stops, starts, stops...

The cycle doesn't advance When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:

  • It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

  • It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.
