I just got a sony Ericsson W580i 2 days ago, and my hubby tried to unlock it so that I could have great features. When he did it he used setool2 lite edition v 1.08, and from there Im not exactly sure what he did!
When he first tried to do it my phone wouldn't work at all there was a message on it that said for me to contact my service provider, then he searched some forms and figured out how to make my phone work. The phone works normally to make phone calls but the graphics are horribly messed up the phone's functions; such as, sounds, walkman, but there are double images and menus overlap. Im so bummed out and I know hubby feels terrible because he stayed up late trying to fix it...please we need your help if anyone knows how to unlock it or even know how I can get it back to normal we would be sooooooo thankful

The front speaker needs replacing. Songs/MP3's are played through the back speakers, thats why you can hear them when you play them individually.
Ive been quoted around £50 from an online mobile phone repair centre to replace it.
Needless to say, Ive sent my phone back for a refund, and i wont be buying this phone again.

you have to take it to you carrier an let them know your problem bepending on how long you had the phone they might replace it

Throw the phone away. He has ruined the firmware and it is not covered under warranty. Next time tell him to keep his fingers to himself.
