If you are using it as a computer monitor, it does not have a driver, it relies upon your video card to have the compatible format. This is consistent when using an HD TV as a computer monitor.
So Identify your video card, download the driver, even if it is an older operating system, the driver will still work if you are on the same basic architecture- 32 bit versus 64.
The USB port on this monitor is just the USB hub than expands your PC USB port to the monitor (USB port of the PC will have to be connected to the USB in of the monitor). It is not a stand alone USB port.
I had the same problem with my new LG. To fix this, press exit on the remote control then power off on the remote. Turn the TV back on and all should be well.
