it Has one but is supposed to be self cleaning. To access it, inner tub / basket has to be removed requiring a special scanner wrench to remove basket nut. Filter is on bottom of inner basket and can be manually cleaned or replaced.

Our fisher and paykel washsmart goes halfway through its cycle then peeps continuously and on the display panel shows 40 who how can I fix this faultd

Error code 40
40. (00101000) Inner Basket Disengage Fault
While carrying out a basket check, the Motor Control Module has found that the basket is
not engaged even though the pressure sensor indicates that the tub is empty. The Motor
Control Module continues to check for 2 minutes, after which time it displays this fault. The
first two areas to check are the clutch and the pressure tube. If these two appear correct,
then the fault could be in the pressure sensor in the Motor Control Module.
Primary Source: Mechanical.
Action: 1) Check that there are no clothes or other foreign objects preventing
the clutch from re-engaging. Excessive suds can stop the basket
rotating.
2) If the machine is empty of water, carry out a clutch disassembly
procedure (Refer to section8.14) and check the spline drive.
3) Next check that the pressure tube has not come off and that it is
not kinked.
Secondary Source: Motor Control Module.
Action: Replace Motor Control Module.

8.14 Removal of Clutch Mechanism (Spline Drive / Spline
Driven)
(a) Follow the procedure for removal of Inner
Basket. (Refer to Section 8.13).
(b) Remove the 3 screws securing the spline
driven to the inner basket.
Reassembly:
Refit in the reverse manner. Ensure that the
screws are tightened sufficiently with out over
tightening.

How do you clean the lint filter?

you can't clean lint filter. It has a built in filter that cleans itself. It is under the inner basket. If you have to, than remove the agitator and inner basket. It is attached to basket on bottom. No need to clean though

I have a Whirlpool Calypso and I have removed the washplate, lock nut using spanner wrench and u joint assy. I want to remove the metal inner basket so I can clean all the scum inside the outer wash...

Once you remove the agitator, then the nut with the spanner wrench, the basket should lift right out. It may need a little encouragement but it will lift out. I clean the out side tub with a putty knife to get the bulk of the scum off then use some cleaner like 409, or purple power to get the rest off. BE careful around the tub seal around the shaft, you don't want to damage it and have to replace it.

My whirlpool cabrio top loading washer with corner dispensers had some coins trapped in the bottom of the basket. I can hear the coins and some water. When the washer goes into spin it apparently throws...

You have to disconnect all wire connectors, inner basket, both pumps & Then unclasp the 4 shock rods then remove the whole inner assembly. Then turn the inner assembLy upside down & every which way until they all fall out. Like shaking quarters out of your piggy bank.

Clothes stuck inbetween basket on Maytag Bravos washer

This is for several brands ... not just the Bravos.
Based on your description, it looked like you needed to take the center agitator out first .... to then access the inner basket bolts ... remove the inner basket to then get to where the clothes are ... not a real easy task

Maytag mav6200aww removing inner tub

I broke a hammer removing the basket on a 6000 series today. These are known to be a real ***** to remove. Once those screws are out there is a seal nut to remove and the basket hub assembly is what it sits on. Look at 5 and 7 below.

Model 80 Sears Kenmore washine(Remove inner basket)

under the agitator youll see a lock nut appox 2-3in, around "locking" the inner basket to the outer basket. although they do sell a spanner wrench to remove this nut, A decent pipewrench and little muscle will get it loose, after that the tub will pull right out. assuming youve taken off the outer tub gasket cover
