Replaced Mobo & Processor Nothing Working

Hi,
I have recently renewed my Motherboard and processor as my previous one died after a power surge.
I have installed a Gigabyte s-series motherboard and dual core processor & upgraded to a new 450 watt power supply , however when I turn on the PC the cooling fans work but nothing else, not getting any bleeps, Monitor not receiving signal ( I have tried another monitor still nothing).
Any ideas on what could be wrong and how I can get it working?
Thankyou.

My power supply died (popped), so I replaced it (Antec SL350 with an Antec SL350S). However, when I turned on the switch on the back of the power supply, the motherboard powered up immediately (tower...

If you "popped" the power supply, I would check to see if the RAM might have taken a hit as well. Ram chips and CPU are sensitive when it comes to power surges. I would troubleshoot the system, unplug everything. you need monitor, power, cpu, and ram (1 at a time). Check to see if the system will POST. if you do get it to POST, start with 1 item at a time and see if the system will POST every time. If nothing happens, there is a chance you may have a damaged motherboard or cpu.

Machine was running..stopped suddenly..replaced power supply, cmos battery..nothing..absolutely no response what so ever..mobo is gigabyte 8knxp

You need to disassemble your motherboard specially the processor and the RAM. Once the RAM and the processor was removed you need to clean the motherboard. Re assemble the unit, put thermal paste to the processor so that the heat will absorbed by the heatsink.

New Motherboard & Processor not working

Usually this symptom has to do or with memory modules with problems or the VGA adapter (integrated) could be damaged. First try to reset the BIOS of *********** taking out the battery and using the reset jumpers informed in the Mother Board manual. Then put the battery and the jumpers back to the factory default position and try again.
If this doesn't work, try to plug the power cord to another 220V as the ground could cause this type of problems.
You can also try to install another VGA adapter to check if you receive the VGA signal in your monitor.
Hope it helps...
Please tell us about your progress.

Replaced Mobo & Processor but PC not working

First step is to check and make sure that all cables are connected properly and that the RAM is seated properly. Also are you using onboard video or an add on card?

New Mobo & Processor but no Bleeps etc

Could be the power supply is not strong enough to power the system. Replace the power supply with one that is between 350 - 450 watts. This should provide ample power to the system.
