KitchenAid Double Drawer Dishwasher KUDD01DP

I do not use my bottom drawer very often so 1x a month I run a rinse to keep it clean. When I turned it on the drawer locked and started, but there was a thumping sound. I stopped it and opened it and tried to re-position the spray arm etc and started again - same thumping and then it turned off. There were no error codes lit it just stopped and beeped. A small amount of water was in the bottom. After about 6 tries I took it all apart and cleaned the parts according to the cleaning instructions, dried out all the water, unplugged, turned off the water source and after 10 minutes plugged it back in and turned back on the water - same problem. I have spent thousands of dollars on my KitchenAid microwave/oven combo - and I'm not exaggerating, I have used 3 different service centers from KitchenAid's site and it takes a minimum of 3 visits and hundreds of dollars to fix the problem. I have been without a microwave since May 14th - and $762 later we are suing that company and trying to re-coup our money from KitchenAid. Anyway the top drawer works fine, I just hate to try my luck with a new service center. I appreciate any advice you can give me. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Mandy

yes, the spray arm can be removed and cleaned out.

Also, clean the 3rd (very top spray area) located attached to the top of the dishwasher. You want to make sure this small (1 inch size) piece can spin freely, so water can rinse the upper rack items.

My double drawer kitchenaid dishwasher sold red light and beeping during cycle wont turn off and runs even with door open, turned breaker off

If you using upper or lower drawer and this shows up it means the dishwasher has water under the filter board which located on the bottom under the lower drawer. You have to disconnected power, removed the lower drawer, clean the water, replaced filter board, check the dishwasher for leaking.

My double drawer kitchen aid dishwasher is stuck on rinse mode

I tried this once an it worked. Tech came from Sears an asked where fuse box was. He tripped the breaker for dishwasher. Flipped it back on after 10 seconds. Came to the dishwasher an it was like new again. He said sometimes they need a reset. If that did not work he had to replace the panel. Hope it works for you.

Kitchen Aid KUDD03DT top drawer won't stay closed

The lock lever on the unit --- that is shaped like a U --- if you have it ---may be bent a little. You can move it to the correct position - usually down a little --and your door will stay closed

Keep blowing fuses

This means there is water collected on the base of the dishwasher cabinet under the bottom drawer. You will need to disconnect the dishwasher mains plug and take the bottom drawer out to dry the base out. Follow instructions in this manual (page 7 step 2) to remove the drawer.

Have a kitchenaid double drawer dishwasher. While running the bottom drawer the top drawer fills up with water. Had the filler valve on the garbage disposal changed. Issue still continues. Any suggestions

Mine does the same thing! (Same model) I've finally discovered that if I start the bottom drawer first and the top drawer just after that doesn't happen as much. Also, if I run the garbage disposal (and water obviously) while it's starting (I will try to do my hand washing while the dishwasher is getting going) that seems to keep this from happening as well. I've given up running just one drawer, which totally defeats the purpose of buying the 2 drawer dishwasher. But it does keep me from having to bail the bottom drawer :-( I'd like a better solution to this too!

DD-603 cycle and draining problems.

check your kitchen drain as it might be blocked or if you have a garbage disposal (kitchen insinkerator) make sure it is cleared before running the dishwasher.
