HP LASERJET 3055 Manual IP Address not saving

We have three HP LaserJet 3055 all in one printer which we thought as good all in one printer. However, recently one of system failed to accept Network Printing and when I have checked I found that the Manual IP address given to the printer lost. The printer control panel shows IP address as 000.000.000.000
I tried several time to set the IP address 192.168.1.11 and even printer menu shows "setting saved" but within next minute if I check the IP, it shows the same 000.000.000.000 IP address.
(Menu > Network Configuration > TCP/IP > IP = 192.168.1.11 > Yes > Settings Saved)

The Report for Network Configuration shows Following two important symptoms:
A) Status = Initializing
and
B) IP address = Configuring

Show to HP engineer, they told that main board is required to be replaced and the cost they told was almost 40% of the new HP 3055.

Now the same problem observed with the second HP 3055 and again same symptoms. It does not save IP address even the control panel confirms "Settings Saved"

Any idea, is it related to any firm ware problem or actually a printer's main board problem ?

Thanks in advance.
Tried to enter a Manual IP Address multiple times. Press OK and when I got back into the settings it isn't saved. The printer was working fine before it was moved and was set to a Manual IP then

Try flashing the firmware: one of the fixes is this - (Improved IP address management of DHCP to Manual changes).  See link below. Firmware

HP laserJet 3055 network connection

HOW TO CONNECT HP 3055 TO ROUTER/WIRELESS NETWORK. WINDOWS XP/WINDOWS VISTA.

I have just finished successfully connecting my HP 3055 to my router and using it over wireless on 2 computers, one with windows XP SP2 and one with VISTA.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONNECTING HP 3055 ON XP:

FIRST CONNECT THE PRINTER TO THE ROUTER WITH A ETHERNET CABLE. FIND OUT THE IP ADDRESS OF YOUR PRINTER. By me it was 192.168.0.66

Go to CONTROL PANEL and open "PRINTERS AND FAXES". on the top left choose "ADD A PRINTER" click "NEXT".

In the "LOCAL OR NETWORK PRINTER" window, choose "LOCAL PRINTER ATTACHED TO THIS COMPUTER" and uncheck "AUTOMATICALLY DETECT"... click "NEXT".

In the "SELECT A PRINTER PORT" window click the radio button "CREATE A NEW PORT", click the down arrow and choose "STANDARD TCP/IP PORT".

In the window that pops up click "NEXT"

In the ADD PORT window, where it says "PRINTER NAME OR IP ADDRESS, type in your printers IP address, by me it was 192.168.0.66. The bottom line will fill in automatically. Click "NEXT".

In the "INSTALL PRINTER SOFTWARE" window, if you have the disk just choose "HAVE DISK" and install from there. If not, in the left column choose "HP" and in the right column choose "HP LASERJET 3050" (by me it showed up in the list, you can download the driver from here http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=1140780&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=1161389&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=228

click "NEXT"

In the "NAME YOUR PRINTER" window, choose a name and also choose if you want to set it as the default printer (recommended) Click "NEXT"

In the next window choose whether or not you want to share the printer, and if you do assign a printer name. Click NEXT. The next window is optional if you want to make a name, you can just click NEXT and your done! Print a test page to make sure that all is fine.
