Sony klv32s310a lcd tv no pic sound ok vga working av vedeo not working

The chances of the large cap in the hot side of the power board being bad are almost non existent, that part very seldom fails. test your PSON voltage after the set has shut off and see if you have about 3 volts there, if you do then the main board is working ok and its in the power board, next thing to test is if the power factor correction is working, if its not working correct then look at components in the hot side of the power board, if you see PFC working ok where the voltage of the large filter cap rises to just under 400VDC when the set powers on then look at issues with the cold side of the power board, remember when testing the hot side you can not use chassis ground, the low side of the bridge rectifier must be used as the ground ...good luck!!...other option if you determine you have power board issues is to replace the board verses service it yourself, some power boards can be kind of spendy though where they can usually be fixed for a few dollars.

On the remote control to that tv, after the power is turned on, find and push the input button untill you have a picture. The input button switches where you are receiving your signal from, cable, component, video 1, vedeo 2,,etc,,,.

To clarify, your TV is working correctly, since you get sound and video from all devices - Only your PS3 has no sound or video?

If your PS3 was previously used with regular AV cables (Red/White/Yellow) then you most likely need to do a PS3 video reset t output video over HDMI.

With the PS3 OFF, press and continue holding the power button until it turns on, beeps twice, and then turns back off. Do not release the power button during this process.

You may have to try the video reset a few times if it doesn't work right away.

After video reset, you should get sound and video over HDMI.

It is possible to connect your laptop to any LCD TV. For which you need to locate the external VGA port on your laptop. As your Laptop doesn't have S-Video port you would have to deal with the VGA port.
There are several adapters available in the market which can solve your problem:VGA to RCA orVGA to S-Video orDual VGA cable
Your LCD TV should be equipped with all the ports mentioned above that are:RCA (AV)S-VideoVGA In
But as I don't know the model Number of your TV I don't know whether your TV has S-Video or VGA ports but the RCA (AV) are the most common ones which I am pretty sure you would have.

This is problem of lcd panel that will be replaced to fix the slow motion issue. There is no other remedy for said symptom in KLV-32S310A lcd tv so replace lcd panel in tv to get it fixed.

Please double check that your VGA cable is working properly and you have installed the most updated version of video drivers.
Is the TV not even playing the sound? Are you on the right channel? Only try checking the sound on a AV channel by using a headphone jack to AV jack cable.
If you have a S-Video port try connecting with it you can get that cable for a buck in a dollar store.

My TV (Sony Bravia LCD KLV-32S310A) goes of after 20 seconds when it is switched on. The standby indicator then flashes (red) five (5) times then there is a two seconds break followed by another six flashes then two seconds break etc. What might have caaused this and what should i do?
