It is never advisable to send pics from the computer to the camera...most of the time, the card and even the camera can be corrupted.
I hope your question is really the reverse of what you asked. If so, the very easiest way for me is to use a flash card reader, either the one built into most computers now or an external USB type. Use the Nikon software that came with the camera to transfer the pictures to the PC. You can also use most photo editing software to import the images with the flash card appearing as a removable drive. If you truly want to use photos from your PC in your camera, for some unmentioned reason, just copy them to your flash card and put it back into the camera. It was not meant to work that way though.
You dont send from your computer to the D90 you plug the cord in your usb connections from computer to the camera
Turn on camera go to MY COMPUTER select your camera your pictures will upload and then save in MY PICTURES and your done
