Dv6-2150us webcam Out of nowhere, my webcam stopped working on my laptop. I've tried every, including drivers, system restore, and everything. I even went out and bought a new webcam, but for some reason my computer just won't recognize a camera. It says that the driver is there, but it just won't work on any program. I am using Windows 7 64 bit. My laptop is an HP dv6-2150us.

Your new camera driver is simply not compatible with the 64 bit version of windows. Get a camera that is specifically designed with a driver for Win 7 64 bit version.

These camera seem to be delicate. Call Microsoft support number that is on the documentation and they will send you another one. I did this and the replacement VX-3000 works perfectly.

Hi whitco0313,

A corrupted or missing audio driver can cause this problem. You can try to do a System restore back to the earliest date that it worked fine. If this doesn't help, you need to check out Dell website and download the audio driver compatible for your laptop model and operating system version.

I hope this helps, please inform me if this resolves your problem or not to check for other resolution that we could try. Thank you.

Webcam not detected

You may need drivers for your webcam, you can get the drivers from the CD in the packaging that the webcam came in. If you don't have the CD, I'll need more information on what type of webcam you're using to provide you with any direct links to drivers. Also, if you've already installed the drivers, try another USB port on your computer.
