You need a mixer. Connect the microphone to the mixer and also the background music. That way you have separate control of volume for the voice and the music.
The background noise can come from different sources. One of them is from the laptop itself, if the laptop is noisy to begin with.
Do you have any "sound buttons" on the remote? If so, switch to "voice" if you have it. You can also go to menu settings, make sure trebble is turned up 3/4 of the way up. Make sure it is NOT set to MONO. Make sure both right and left channel audio cords are plugged in.
Go to your sound card settings under start settings control panel, select the real tek audio then in there there should be settings on how your sound comes out of your computer make sure that it is not set on some funky audio morphing setting. Someone must have played some pranks on you but yes its total fixable with a couple strokes of the mouse. ruldss2008
The problem sounds like a setting miss match , with music it is not so noticeable as it is louder and has higher spectrum of sounds , but with monoliphic voices you pick out the disinction more check your sound utilities program particuarly the graphic equalizer if it has one windows does in sound properties and advanced setings if you have a seprate sound utility ie: hd sound etc check that your effects settings havent been changed ...Regards Vortash
