I have an admiral washer atw4475xq can you adjust the water level on the rinse cycle

Hi,

please power cycle your washer (ie restart via power outlet unplug and re-plug). After this, please rotate the dial 90 degrees counter-clockwise before attempting another wash . All of these actions to help reset/undo any issues with the washer. Otherwise, you might need to schedule a home diagnosis/repair.

this is what i have found but not sure if this will help you out,if not go to the link at the bottom and see if it helps you out.

Step 1

Make sure the washer's cord is plugged in to a functioning outlet if the Admiral washer won't fill with water. Check your circuit breaker to make sure the power is on and reset it if necessary. Reset the dial and start the washer again. Turn both of the washer's faucets on to full power. Untangle any inlet hoses to remove clogs. If this doesn't work, your hose filter screens could be clogged. Disconnect the hoses from the washer and clean the screens of any residue.

Step 2

Close the washer's lid completely if the Admiral washer will not agitate. The washer will not start if the lid is open. Restart the washer by setting the control dial to the desired cycle. Momentary pauses during cycles can be expected. You may need to wait a minute or two to see if the washer starts. Check the circuit breaker to make sure the washer is getting power. Reset the circuit breaker if necessary.

Step 3

Check and reset the circuit breaker as above if the Admiral washer will not spin or drain. Untangle any of the washer's hoses to allow water into the machine. Check your drains for clogs that may be preventing water to move into the washing machine. Close the lid and restart the washer. The washer will not start if the lid is not completely closed. If there are excessive soap bubbles in the washer, the washer may have locked up because of this. Wash the load again without adding detergent.

Step 4

Rearrange the laundry so it is evenly distributed if the Admiral washer stops or if laundry is still wet at the end of a cycle. Untangle any laundry from the center post in the wash tub. Select the correct water level for the amount of laundry. Select a normal spin cycle for jeans, towels or other heavy loads. Close the lid and start the washer.

Step 5

Check the hoses to make sure they are tightly connected to the Admiral washer if it leaks water. If they are loose, tighten them with a screwdriver. Make sure the drain hose is secured to the drainage area. Avoid putting too much laundry in your machine or soaking laundry for over 30 minutes.

Step 6

Make sure the Admiral washer is on a level plane if it is excessively noisy. If it is not on even ground, move the washer so that it is level. Remember that some washer noise is normal. Thin floors can cause the washer to vibrate and move about and the noise level may rise and fall depending on the speed of the cycle.

does it allow much water into the tub? u may beed to check ur water inlet valve for OHMS and for proper voltage at the coils, they may have went bad

something hindering the rinse cycle? bad water pump or clogged pump?

This could be a small hole in the drum or drain hose or valve for the water controls.

Does the lid switch work? With the lid closed, put the unit to spin cycle. If it spins, the switch is good and you will need to replace the water inlet valve.

You can youtube a video on how to remove the top control panel, its just 2 screws on the back of it,
phillips head. Swing the control panel up, and find something to support it so you have both hands free.

You'll see a clear plastic tube coming up from the back rear like 3/8 in diameter, to a "T"
connection. The one that goes to the left, thats the wash water level switch it connects to. The one you
can adjust, large, medium, small, from the front of the panel . The other off the T goes to the rinse
water level switch. There is not a knob to adjust it. But if you look at the bottom of the lever
mechanism/cam pickups of both switchs, you will see that they are the same. Rotate the wash load size
(knob on outside of control panel) from small to large, back to small, notice how the mechanism changes?
The rinse water level swtich acts the same way, although it is only a 2 position switch, small and
large. Once you watch the wash level mechanism move from rotating it back and forth a few times, you
should be able to see how to rotate that same mechanism on the rinse switch 1 click. It will click into
place, there are only 2 positions as I said and from the factory its in small, so once it "clicks in"
dont go any further. I did mine with a very small screw driver without removing the rinse switch.
Once you get that hidden switch turned to the other position, put it back together, fire it up and now
your rinse is the large level, all the time.
NOTE: There is a white plunger out of the end of each switch with a screw located in place. Dont mess
with the screw or that plunger. As you adjust the lever mechanism/cam this adjusts the amount of that
plunger sticking out, which changes the pressure pickup for water level.

this machine has a water level switch for the wash cycle and a switch for the rinse ccycle. remove control panel and take a small screwdriver and rotate the lever on the rinse cycle switch 1 click. (the rinse cycle switch is the one that does not have the knob on it. Unplug the machine before this is done. You will now have a full tub of water for the rinse cycle.

Possibly rinsing with cold water, washing with hot.
Check inlet valves for leaks, especially cold (rinse)
Lift the top panel by inserting a flat blade approx 4" from each side at the front to release clips, then top will hinge backwards.
You can see the valves at the rear behind the drum..
You can run the machine with top lifted to see any more leaks.
Also remove front panel via 2 small screws to gain better view.
