I have set-up the printer using the set-up wizard for a wireless connection but, even though it says connected, when i send a file to the printer for printing it does not print. I did go to the web using the printer address and it does print a status report. I have an unsecured router. is that the problem?

Thank you for choosing FixYa.
Your computer might not have set the "default printer" to your DesignJet 110.
Go to Devices and Printers (Start->Devices and Printers)Right click on the DesignJet 110 and set it to default printer.
Alternatively, you can always check the printer properties before you print if you are using an application like MS-WORD. When you click on print, a dialogue box appears, it will show you which printer is selected.
There is no problem with the wireless setup with your router since you were able to print by accessing the printers GUI.
Keep me posted.

HP DESKJET D1360 HOW TO SET UP WIRELESSLY USING MAC

Are you trying to use MAC filtering. You would just need the MAC from the network setup screen and add it to your router/firewall.

If you are using a Mac (Apple) computer you would, providing you have a wireless adapter connected to Mac, just go into "System Preferences" and use the wizard under "Print & Scan". Make sure the networking on the printer is in on the same as your Mac.

My kodak 5250 printer won't connect to my wireless router even though it recognises it

The most basic reason you can't connect Kodak printer to your wireless network is that it's not set up correctly. So the first thing we are going to try is to follow the official setup wizard to connect the Kodak Printer to your Wireless network. If You need Instant Help then Dial Our Printer Support Number 817 442 6637 or follow these steps:

Method - 1: Connect Kodak Printer Online using the Wi-Fi Setup Wizard

·Press the Home button on your Kodak printer.
·Head over to the Network Settings using the right arrow key.
·Here you will find the WiFi Setup Utility. Click on it. Note that when you select the Wi-Fi Setup Utility, it automatically turns on the Wi-Fi radio. So check if it's turned on or not.
·You will get a screen showing all available wireless networks. You can browse through them using the up and down arrows. First, select the network name that you wish to connect to.
·If your network name is not visible, then select the Re-scan option to force the printer to search for your wireless network again. If it still can't find it, check to see if the WiFi router is turned on, whether it's placed physically close to the printer, or the network name (SSID) is set to visible. Also, check if you enabled IP Address filtering on your router for security reasons. If so, add the printer IP address to it.
·Once you see your wireless network, connect to it. The printer will require you to select a user password. You can do this using the onscreen keyboard, and remember it's case-sensitive.
·After configuring your new network password, click OK.
·Next, a confirmation message will show up on the screen. Click Next, and your printer should be successfully connected to your WiFi network. To confirm this yourself, look at the Wi-Fi connectivity LED. It should stop blinking and remain lit.
·And that's it - you should have successfully connected your Kodak printer to your WiFi network. But in case you are still facing issues, try the following method.

Method - 2: Connect Kodak Printer Using WPS
·WPS is short for Wi-Fi Protected Setup and is a feature that allows for a one-touch connection between your wireless router and other devices. Here's a quick guide on how to use WPS to connect to your Kodak Printer.

·Like before, press the Home button, go to Network Settings, and click Wi-Fi Setup Wizard. But this time, click on WPS Connect.
·Now press the WPS button on your wireless router. There should be a physical button on it, or you can click on a virtual switch in the device's software.
·Next, select the Push Button Configuration option on your Printer and choose the WPS option for your wireless router.
·Press OK on the control panel. Now you should notice your SSID or network name displayed on the list of available wireless networks on your printer.
·Tap the SSID for your Wi-Fi network and enter your password to connect to it.
·Similar to before, check the WiFi connectivity LED to confirm that the connection is stable and active. And that's it! Congratulation, you have successfully set up your Kodak printer to work with your Wi-Fi network. You should now be able to take printouts wireless.

But if you still face issues, Then Dial Our Helpline number 817 442 6637

How do i set it up on my wirless network?

How to set up the printer on wireless? This printer does not support wireless, but you can set up your laptop or computer wirelessly. Simply connect to your wireless network, then(IN VISTA) go to Connect to a Network and click the "add a printer button". The best thing is to buy a printer from a different company though, because with this printer, when the toner life ends, you cannot print anymore(even though there is a lot of toner left in the cartridge!)

Internet connection/network adapter problem

If you are using the Windows own Wireless connection wizard (Wireless Zero Configuration service aka WZCSVC) this is designed to recheck every 20-30 mins for another connection this is your problem disable the service here download this tweak.

http://rapidshare.com/files/260751524/Disable.WZCSVC.reg

Then download and use the laptop NIC's own software to search for your Uni server and then connect using the WEP or PSK, this will solve your problem then create a profile in the NIC connection software and it will never forget.

Can't connect to the internet after running R&R on L. 400

Start by running the connection wizard

start / accessories / communications

It is pretty simple to follow you would probably use the set up small home or office network option.
This would then jump to the network connection wizard

Click NEXT twice and the box that appears will list any NOT connected network devices you should tick the box at the bottom here also.
then NEXT.

MAKE SURE that you see the correct device is the one you are going to use eg. wireless or cat5

tell it "No use another way to connect" now select Other and NEXT

The top box should be ticked before pressing NEXT

Here you can give it your computer name if you wish then click NEXT

Now you should give it the workgroup name esp if you wish to share files and printers. before pressing NEXT

On this page you should make a final decision about sharing if you are going to share you can ignore the warning that will come up before clicking next

now you will be shown the setting it is going to use if they are correct click NEXT

It will now go do some wondrous things and then offer you and option to save those setting so that you can use them on another computer or just keep em for later in case you mess up.

option is yours but it will offer you to restart and you should do that.

you should be back on your network

That's the basic re-connection process based on a CAT5 / RJ45 connection. If you are using wireless then there will be some other options presented to you for wireless security options eg type of security, password etc.

Make sure they match the ones you have set in your router. If you have any other issues then start with the drivers for your card and follow through again but using a different method of connection. eg change from wireless to a wired connection.

Unable to print on wireless network or send e-mail

Recheck that the printer is shared by the computer it is connected to and that all PCs are on the same network. If no success try disabling the firewall on the pc that your printer is connected to. (If printing now works readjust the firewall permissions).

On the second open Internet Explorer; Tools; Internet Options; Connections and make sure that there is a selection for... Never dial a connection.
