The freezer door had been giving us problems as it wasn't closing properly, we wiggled it and it now closes properly. When it wasn't closed properly the door alarm would beep, we would close it and the beeping would stop and it would be fine. Then all of a sudden today, the door alarm just started beeping when we were in the fridge, checked the fridge door, it appears to be closed tightly and no inside drawers or obstructions are in the way inside. We unplugged the fridge to see if it would reset. Then wait.. the door alarm would start beeping again, open the fridge and the fridge lights are off, now the beeping has stopped and the door alarm light is flashing.

Thank you for reposting. It sounds like the door switch, which controls the light and alarm if the door is left open to long, has malfunctioned. Check to see if the switch if seated correctly. You may need to replace it. Here is a link to the part.

When I close my side x side frig the freezer door pops open

This happens because the refrigerators of today are air tight, the fresh food door pushes the air into the cabinet as it closes and the air has no place to go but up the air vent into the freezer and "pops" open the freezer door. First thing is make sure the freezer door is capable of closing properly and is not rubbing or catching anywhere. I sometimes add a washer or 2 to the center hinge under the freezer door so it doesn't rub anything. Put a little Vaseline ( or food grade silicone lubricant ) on the hinge side of the seal. I then raise the front of the refrigerator so that the front of the refrigerator is a little higher than the back of the refrigerator. Never level a fridge with a level. Once you have the door closing properly and front slightly higher than the back...let the fresh food door close from 90 degrees on it's own and the freezer door may "pop" open a little but will close again on it's own...and stay closed once all is set up properly. We see this more often now and have no trouble with the door staying open again after setting up the refrigerator properly.

Need gaskets for CSX20E Hotpoint side by side

Seals don't lose their magnetism. Check the door closes all the way round and adjust the hinges if it doesn't sit straight. Check there isn't a relief valve frozen up or blocked (it allows air to escape when the doors are closed). Check the drawers are fully pushed back in and not stopping the door closing properly

Amana BR22VL refrigerator section stopped cooling.

is there any frost on your food packages or on the ceiling where the light is?if so the door was left open and the air vents are froze up or you have a bad damper or evaporator fan motor, open the freezer door,do you hear the fan blowing?if so the fan motor is good, check for ice on the ceiling and packages,if that checks good look at the back inside wall of the freezer,if that's covered with like snow or frost you have a defrost problem or also you have a damper in your model,it's closed and won't open to let the cold air in from the freezer.
http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Damper/R0161050/223353
go here, this is the part, all that happens is the evaporator coil in the freezer gets cold, the evap fan blows the cold air from the freezer up into the fridge section,in your model the damper door opens to let the cold air in,when it gets cold enough the damper closes and that's it,so if the door wasn't left open and the fan is blowing in the freezer you have a bad damper.

I have the bottom freezer w/2 doors up top....light inside will not go off and has started to melt some of the plastic pieces. How do you remove the light bulbs so the darn thing doesn't burn...

There should be a light switch inside each compartment, depress them with the door open one at a time, locate the bad switch and disconnect it. You can remove the bulbs too. Most of the problems with bottom freezer are the door, they seem to not get closed properly and they get heavily frosted, once frosted they seem not to close correctly and cause the lights to remain on.
I would look for the problem with the door closing or the door switch failing.

Doors creak loudly when closed and pushed from the outside. Don't when open.

This short solution may help solve your creaking problem. Putting vaseline insid the hinge pins too is a good idea.

Freezer door rubbing

take the freezer door off and put a washer or two on the bottom hinge. sometimes there are extra plastic washers on the top hinge that you can move to the bottom to lift it up.
also check if the hinge is bent or loose, as this may cause the problem.
