Further, IF you disconnected any of the cables, some are VERY tricky to get reconnected. Some of the thin ribbons have little locks you have to release before re-inserting the cable. The lock then wedges the contacts together after cable is inserted.

When wiring around circuit board cracks, one must use adequate sized wires and keep the leads short. Also you MAY have a microscopic crack in yet another conductor that flexes when you play the keyboard and freezes it. Use a high intensity LED light from the topside to "candle" the board and look for cracks. Look for cracking of the board material that may have tiny cracks in the circuit traces.

My Casio CTK 4400 wont turn off

Question moved to Casio Keyboards.

Take it in for service. Sounds like it needs a new switch or control board.

Busted motherboard

The board is cracked? "busted"... replacement only solution. If non-operational repair the unit. Failure to connect via USB is COMMON and is not indicative of "busted" motherboard.

I can't get d usb connection and i think the driver is corrupted

Make sure the driver is compatible with your operating system... often stuff will not work with Vista for example. Often SOME software REQUIRES it to be installed before USB cable is connected, and yet other requires it not be connected till software is installed... read the manual...

Casio CTK-651 keyboard wont switch on

An internal fuse is UNLIKELY.

More likely is either a bad connection/connector at power input or a bad or intermittent power switch.

NO power to my Casio CTK 671

First verify with a voltmeter that the adapter IS producing the voltage it is supposed to.

The cords and internals of these often fail.

Anything beyond that will require servicing. One could oppen the unit and look for bad solder or cracked board NEAR the power input jack.

Casio CPS-80s will not turn on when electrical power is supplied to it and it will not work when batteries are inserted into it.

Probably a damaged power connector or a cracked circuit board near the connector.

Look for circuit board cracks with a bright single LED light by candling the board from the opposite side.

CTK-541 does not work with power adapter connected. Does work with batteries. With the adapter attached, voltage is detected up to the solder points of the power input jack, but not further than the...

You probably have a bad solder connection at the inductor which is a filter coil to reduce EMI.

It is not uncommon to have one of these heavier components bust the solder connection...

NOTE: It takes a trained eye to spot the little gray ring around the lead that says the connection is broken.

Reheat the solder of the connections on that inductor and see if that doesn't fix it. If not, continue tracing the voltage.

ALSO a cracked circuit board can manifest itself this way. USE A BRIGHT LED flashlight to "candle" the board and look for cracks.
