LG washing machine doesn't heat water

Hello, I have LG WD 80130 wahshing machine. It doesn't heat water. I checked the heating element and the cables and they are OK. Also I checked the thermostat with multimeter when the water is hot (80C) the resistance is about 15 kOhm and when the water temp is regular (20C) the resistance is about 55 kOhm. Does the thermostat works properly? What could be the problem? Thank you, Michael

SOURCE: LG washing machine error codes

Hello,
I have today the same error code on model WD-11155FB. This code means that the speed of the electrical motor can no longer be controlled. The velocity sensor placed just behind the motor is probably damaged but it can be also the electronic board where is connected this sensor, or the wiring between these two items.

SOURCE: Bad smell in our washing machine LG Front Loader WD-8074

I had the same problem.  It's a design flaw with all HE's I have learned, they are too efficient.   I visited my local Sears store and purchased WasherFresh.  I initially tried Affresh made by Whirlpool, did not help at all.  WasherFresh I initially had to use 3 tables to get rid of the buildup and now I use it once a month and now our towels do not smell moldy.  Hope this helps.

SOURCE: LG WM2355C water leaking under machine after washing finished.

HI, you will want to Inspect the water supply connections. this is a good spot to check first. there may be a loose connection here, causing the leakage. Next, Inspect the drain hose. Check to make sure that it is tightly connected to the drain pump. replace if needed. Last. Inspect outer tub/basket for cracks or corrosion.

You will find the issue in one or all of the above stated check points.

I had the same problem. Redistributing the clothes inside the machine seems to do the trick. Even though the clothes seemed evenly distributed and I had far less than maximum capacity in the machine- it seemed to think that something was out of sync- simply moving the clothes around did the trick!

TE code wm2688hnm

proceed with common sense and logically, fix it use the Vom or DVOM .God bless you

For this error code you need to check both the water heater or element and thermistor, basically the washing machine is reporting a fault on the heating circuit with this fault code but it is not capable of identifying exactly where the fault actually lies.
On non-display panel models this fault code is denoted by the lights for 95, 60, 40 and cold being lit or flashing.

  • Check water heating element
  • Check heater for contunuity,
  • Check steam heater for continuity usually
  • Check thermistor or temperature sensor
  • Check the thermistor resistance,
  • Check wiring to water heating element
  • Check connections to water heating element and temperature sensor

Gew9200lw1 whirlpool dryer turns on, spins but doesn't heat up

hello, this is Mike. If your dryer turns on, tumbles, but there's no heat, I would bet that your heating element is toast. If you can access the terminals to the heating element, you can test them for continuity using a simple inexpensive tester. No continuity means they need to be replaced. If you would like some assistance with how to go about this and possibly fix the problem yourself, feel free to contact me. I would be happy to help you. thanks

Does the hotpoint model 9534 have a heating element in it to heat up the water if the temperature of the incoming hot water is not high enough for the set wash? Because when it only has cold water going...

yes it has an element. first thing is to make sure you dont have the "econmy" button selected as if you do this causes the machine to skip the heating stage.

if not its an element you need part number 1601318.

remove the front facia and panel and you will find the element in the front of the drum

No, these heater normally should last a long time.  Are you sure the heating element is bad and not the control board that feeds the power to the element?

Washer dryer not heating up

both the 'wash' & the 'dryer' have their own heating elements, If the 'wash' completes its full cycle including 'spin', then I suspect this heat element is ok.Re the dryer, most likely the heat element circuit is 'open circuit' somewhere, could be  the element, thermal fuse, thermostat, or a wire burned out
