Posting the model number would make a response more valid but you need to go through the main menu selection and check to see if you can alter screen resolution or geometry there. Most sets offer different views such as 'Panorama,' 'Full screen,' etc.

Why cant I get it off of wide screen? Everyone's head are cut off and can not read subtitles at bottom.

the aspect ratio is the picture size control
when you select aspect ratio you have to move with the arrows to get the size that fits the panel the best - go ok then exit to save the setting
if that doesn't work the the tv will need attention in a repair shop

Picture too big for screen; cutting off top of heads and bottom of screen

Go to the picture setup of your settings menu.
Somewhere in there are options for selecting picture size.
The options will be similar to: Normal, Wide, Zoom, Stretch
You have probably selected Zoom, try Normal.

Insignia 32" 720p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV - High-Gloss Black Picture is too big for screen ,cut off all around, top, bottom and sides. Can't read things on screen, heads cut off etc. I've gone through...

try checking the menu setting on your Dish Network, there may be a television format in that menu set up, if it is only when a dvd player is playing, then check the format on that, so on so forth... that is one place to start, check if it is local (TV) or if it is from attached component ( Dish dvr/ dvd etc). also refer to your owner's manual.. if all else fails, call customer service @ insignia

Cant see all of screen

You should have a button or setting on the remote that says "picture size" or "aspect". One of those is set too "zoom" mode which will cut off the bottom and top of the frames. You want it to be in 16:9,Normal or Full mode (or whatever your set call it) to get the correct aspect. Or if you have a HD satellite rcvr. you might of placed it in the zoom mode as well.
