Make sure the card is properly formated. There is an option in the menu of the camera .

There is no option for inbuilt memory on my camera

On most cameras, once you insert an SD card, they automatically use the card over the internal memory.

I have panasonic lumix DMC ZX1. when trying to take pictures it says pictures will be stored in inbuilt memory inspite sd card being inserted in right place and empty.

Welcome to FixYa.

Before using the memory card, it should be fromatted. Possible reason is memory card is not yet formatted for camera use.

*Note: Use the camera itself when formatiing the camera. Using PC's or another camera in formatting the memory card may cause a "CARD ERROR" message.

If the switch on the card is set to "LOCK"; operations such as formatting, recording and deleting cannot be performed.

Please let me know if you have any questions and if this solution was helpful.

Picture is not storing in inbuilt memory or in the SD card.

1. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. 2. If your memory card contains pictures you want to save, download them to your computer...use a card reader if necessary. 3. Insert the card into the camera and do the "format" thing again.

My 4gb card in my lumix TZ7 shows max. of 672 shots. same card in canon G9 shopws 2200 shots - both at max resoluyion

HI there i think your lumix camera still in inbuilt memory mode. Make sure you set the default memory as memory card. After that check the setting for Photo pixel. For exam 4mp/7mp/10mp etc. Which is set as per your Canon camera. After that check out & i hope the problem will solve, Thanks & waiting for your feedback.

Screen says internal memory is full. how do you clear the internal memory

Hi there internal memory means inbuilt memory. When you click the snap all photos are save in your camera internal memory. I hope you use external memory card. Go in settings and select the memory card( external) for further snaps. Then the message did not come again until full the memory card. And if you want to clear the internal memory card then connect your camera with your PC then copy the all photos from the camera & paste in computer. After that go inside the internal memory of camera via computer & delete them. Then your camera in build memory card will empty. I hope you understand . If you have any question then ask me. Thanks & waiting for your feedback.

I did all this yesterday and received no answer. I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 and have some photos in the RAW memory. I cannot download them to my computer and cannot get the COPY menu up in the...

I assume they are on the in-built memory, you should be able to access this by removing the SD card from the camera, putting the camera in playback mode, connecting it to your computer and the inbuilt memory should come up as a removable drive. Then just copy the pics.
Format the inbuilt memory when finished.
Cheers.

I have formatted my memory card in computer now when inserted in the nikon coolpix s9 camera it is showing this card cannot be used

Just use the inbuilt feature on the camera to format the card and it should be usable again (considering the card has not been damaged / corrupted beyond repair)

Regarding starting on the camera

This camera is now ten years old, and will only take an SD card, with a max limit of 2GB. It cannot recognise or use a more modern SDHC card, which is what I suspect you have been trying to use.

Cant get my pics on to my computer for some reason

There are cameras having dual memory, that is inbuilt and card memory. Suppose your pictures can be downloaded from the inbuilt memory.your card may have problems. You try to format the card using camera and then give another try.
