I bought a sports watch from GAP. there are 4 buttons, Light, Mode, Start, Reset. When I push the Mode, the only the weekday changes and it looks like it is Alarm setting not date. Please help me.

    Thanks for replying.

    I also cannot adjust time.

since you mentioned the reset button, when I hold the reset button, the pudh start, the "Alarm" on the screen on or off. OR, hold reset push mode, all 7 weekdays on or off at the same time.

I have the same watch and even I couldn't set the time. I am not sure why GAP sells watches without instructions.

  • Anonymous Nov 29, 2008

Cute watches, great prices... am having the same trouble setting it. Bummer.

  • petrovspb Dec 07, 2008

Definitely the ajusting the tiem and date is a puzzle. Is it really impossible to find short manual for this watch?

  • jonandsue Feb 12, 2009

Does a "real" manual exist for the Gap Sport Watch? I comes with a manual for setting the time, but nothing for the alarm or stop watch functions.

How do you turn the alarm off?

The instructions already posted are great for setting the time or alarm, but they wouldn't help me turn the alarm OFF. To turn it off, press and hold the RESET button (alarm time will display) and simultaneously press START. The small ALM indicator in the upper-right (just under the day of the week indicator) will turn off and a short beep may sound. Pressing the START button a second time while continuing to hold RESET will toggle the alarm back on.

Here is how to fix the 12/24 hour problem:

- Use 'mode' button to cycle to where you reset the time
- "HOLD" the reset button continuously while you use the "start" b utton to adjust the time.
- After the military time cycles through hour 24 and starts over at 1, you will see an "AM" icon appear on the right side at about 10oclock. If you continue to change the hour to 12, it will go to 1 again and a "PM" will show up on the right side.
- If you continue past twelve a 2nd time, the watch will recycle back to military time.

hope this helps

Try pressing and holding the reset button. the display should start blinking and the other buttons, mode i think, will move you around the display so you can set it, the same way you set the time.

In addition to the official notice above I found-
Pressing mode once, first and two last days flash - timer feature using start and reset is now available.
Pressing mode twice, monday flashes - alarm time set using reset to move from hours and minutes, and advancing using the start button. You can set 0 hours, and 0 min to have no alarm.
Pressing mode 3 times, to set time per above instructions.

SOURCE: How do I adjust date of my watch bought from GAP

I think I figured it out: (Start + Reset) = toggle alarm on/off ("ALM" will display in upper left corner when alarm is on. (press Mode once) will bring you in chrono mode, where "start" button starts and stops the chrono, and "reset" button resets it back to zero (press Mode once more) will bring you to setting of time for alarm. Set the "hour" value by pressing "start" repeatedly, then press "reset" and set the "minute" value by pressing "start" repeatedly (press Mode once more) will bring you to setting of time for actual time. Reset the "Seconds" value to zero by pressing "start" button once, then press "reset" and set the "minute" value by pressing "start" repeatedly, then press "reset" and set the "hour" value by pressing "start" repeatedly (if it shows "H" in upper right corner, time will be displayed euro-style 0:00-23:59, if it shows "A" time will be displayed 12am/12pm), then press "reset" and set the "day of month" value by pressing "start" repeatedly, then press "reset" and set the "month" value (1-12) by pressing "start" repeatedly, then press "reset" and set the "day of week" value (Su-Sa) by pressing "start" repeatedly (press Mode once more) voila!
