I'm assuming you mean it doesn't appear in Finder. Open up disk utility and it should appear there if you say the MacBook is providing power to the hard drive light. You may have to reformat or reset your Mac if you want it in finder
Apple don't allow anything to link to Macbook's via bluetooth. I can't even connect my iPhone 4 to my Macbook Pro unless I connect it with a USB cable.
I removed the HDMI cable and connected with component video and rca audio. No more white screen.
Picture quality looks good. I don't know if it's as good as HDMI, but then I don't need to reboot the TV three times to get to teh on-demand menu... Grrrrr....

Hi. LE26R8 its a Samsung LCD TV. You can Connect a LCD TV to MacBook Pro.
You need a mini dvi to dvi or mini dvi to vga depending on your
monitor. You also need a cable to get the sound to the tv from the
macbook (from headphone output specifically)
