check the oil level. There is a safety device in a lot of small engines that will either kill the motor or not allow the motor to start if it is low on oil
Gardenway went out of business along time ago. MTD used to carry some of their parts but much before 2005 is not available. The troybilt number you gave is the Briggs and Stratton engine number. The gardenway number does not come up on a vendor search. See if you can find a number like 24A-XXXXXXXX. If you can, I may be able to help. Good Day.
Just found some parts for my Troybilt Gardenway chipper-vac Model 47279 on this website http://www.partsandservice.com/bin/ipl.cgi
I would think they might have something for your machine.
I really hate to be the "bearer of bad tidings" but Troy Bilt, as a company, in no longer in business, MTD bought out the name and design rights for a lot of their tools but they are not manufacturing or stocking any parts for the older GardenWay/ Troy-Bilt machinees. My best suggestion would be tostart looking for a good used one or one with a blown engine, broken frame or whatever, buy it and canibalize it for spare parts
What is the model number?
