ok Fred did your son pass along any cd's for the machine, look in that plastic envelope he dropped on you and said you will never need them. In there is a WinDVD 5 cd install cd, slide that bad boy in and let auto start load it on the machine. If its not there tell JR to find it when he does install it or have him get his **** over to do it he took it off to put another DVD program on. And after that tell him to take you out to the web page for it and updated it because if i remember its going for about $59 bucks
Hi,it's obvious from your problem that the particular disc that cannot be viewed on your computer is of a formatt not supported by the windows XP.some DVDs are of low quality which can be viewed practically on any DVD player but as a result of their low quality and the sensitivity of the Windows they are not recognized by your computer.
In as much as other DVDS play on your computer,it means there's no problem with your computer, but an unsupported disc formatt is been trying to be viewed and there's nothing you can do to view a DVD formatt not supported by your computer.please don't be bothered.
Thanks and take care
Just due to dust on your dvd lens run dvd lens cleaner and after load full drivers of dvd which either given you on time of buying or you have to download from sony site
In the SetUp or Disc menu (depends on what it is called on your remote) go in and look for Disc Edit/CD(DVD)Playback and then finalize.
Choose to finalize the disc and it will close the session so nothing further can be written to the disc, thus making it playable on other DVD players.
the dvd copy protection message is annoying but just to inform you that the DVD cann't be copied without special software that breakes the code. such as clone dvd.
hi insert another dvd. if same happens then restart the computer and try once more . ..again fails please reinstall the driver or shutdown the computer . open the cabin unplug and reconnect the code to dvd drive
can it read data files inside a dvd disc or any cd? if not, you might need to clean the lens using a cd lens cleaner or a soft cloth. Or the cd drive might be defective, which is common sometimes with 1 yr old machines and up
i would say for some reason your dvd player is not compatible from now on with that brand of blank dvd!
get the firmware update from the brand website all you do is download the file burnit on a cd and put it in the dvd player should fix most and eventual problems
