Hi,

Welcome to FixYa.

Since you have already performed calibration and cleaned the printhead, kindly verify that the ink cartridges are not damaged and are completely seated in the printhead:

1. Lift the printer access door, then remove the ink cartridges from the printhead.

2. Verify that the labels on the ink cartridges are intact, and that the cartridges are not damaged.

3. Verify that the KODAK Ink Cartridges have not been refilled.

4. Insert the black ink cartridge into the printhead, then press down firmly until you hear it click into position.

5. Insert the color ink cartridge into the printhead, then press down firmly until you hear it click into position.

6. Close the printer access door.

7. Check the printer status monitor on your computer (or the LCD screen on the printer) to determine if there is sufficient ink available for your print job.

NOTE: When the "Black ink cartridge is low" or "Color ink cartridge is low" message is displayed, print quality can be affected.

8.Reprint the original picture or document that had the quality problem.

Hope this helps. Thanks for using FixYa.

It appears that it will not evenly print anything on the hard drive. It will print a page perfectly from the internet and will make a copy perfectly.

Prints and scan OK but printing is very poor.

Run the printer through the head cleaning cycle and then print a test sheet to see if you get the proper pattern. You may have to do this several times. If the printer is seldom used the head nozzles get clogged. There is also a calibration cycle and that is used if the lines don't line up properly. It's in the manual or can be obtained from Epson online.

I have an Epson Workforce 600 printer that won't print black ink. I have replace all the cartriges with new and still no black ink. I've done nozzle clean several times. Only a very faint line on test...

I had the same problem. I didn't believe it would work since I "cleaned the printer heads" once and nothing happend. But I read in the Epson manual it can take up to 4 times. I had to do it 3 times and now it prints good as new!

My Epson Stylus Color 760 printer tells me there's still ink

If your ink was installed Feb. 2007, then most probably it got expired as you said you have done test prints but with faint samples.

It is advisable to install new and genuine epson ink cartridge.

Faint rainbow line of blue/orange/yellow at end of printed photo

Hello,
You might try cleaning or unclogging the print head[s] with a drop of water or two onto the outlet from the print cartridge[s] and a drop of water or two onto the inlet orifice into which the outlet of the cartridge feeds the ink.

Very Faint Printouts

I find the best way to clean the heads is buy some cleaning cartridges as they have cleaning fluid in them and use them to clean it will take about 10 or more times to clean the heads then put the color ones back in and try again.
Just keep putting it on clean the head don't do a print out till at lest you have cleaned 10 or more times.

HP 7110 still won't print in color

Your post "...it prints very faint horizontal lines in color..." is indicative that indeed your color printheads are clogged and would need repetitive deep head cleaning. This is of course would require that you keep on cleaning until such time as the faint color lines have turned to legible print.
