I have fixed several Kodak models including this one with exactly the same problem. Sometimes tapping on the side will fix it temporally. The fix is to open the back of the camera and snap the connector from the lens. If the camer is dropped the connector can come unsnapped. You should only attempt this if you have had some experence working on electronics. Be careful inside the camera especially in the upper right corner which is where the high voltage is for the flash. You can get a large shock from this camera if your not careful.

Hey Wistra,
You could try resetting your camera to the factory settings by choosing the reset to default setting in the menu. If this doesn't work the sensor on the camera is most likely broken, and you should have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician. If the camera was purchased less than a year ago the repair would most likely be covered under manufacturers’ warranty. I hope this helps!
Sincerely,
Allan

There is no hope for the display..Plan on spending about 50 - 70 dollars for a new TFT display.

My camera has pink horizontal lines and a pinkish cast to pictures. Now my camera will not turn on.....was the camera trying to tell me that my battery was low?
I have the same problem! I have taken at least 600 pictures on my camera and had it for only 9 months. I have horizontal lines crossing through my pictures and some have the pinkish tint...I did not have this problem this morning...
