Attempted to clean? Not a good idea obviously...Take it apart like you did before and look at the wiring and imagine that you can divine the thing to reveal some logical explanation. If you used a contact cleaner or spray to clean, that could be death to that piano my friend.

Sorry. There doesn't seem to be a listing for these more recent pianos that were made in Latvia (There were earlier pianos built until 1962, but all have 4-5 digit serial #s). Here's what the Pierce Piano Guide says "The name Nordheimer was re-introduced in the late 1980s and used on pianos made in Latvia and the Soviet Union. The name Estonia is being used by the same company on grand pianos made in Estonia". Checking under Estonia only nets me 4 digit serial #s.
