It takes over 7 hours to charge, so did you leave it charge overnight?
But while the original battery is chargable, disposable replacements are not. Here is what the manual says:
{ ... The supplied battery is a Li-ion battery. It charges while in the
camera using the supplied charger. The camera can also use a Duracell
CP1 disposable Li battery, which has the same form factor as the
supplied Li-ion cell. HP claim the Li-ion cell will provide power for
approximately 200 shots under "average" use and 100 shots with
"extensive use of the LCD and flash".
Charge time for the battery using
the supplied charger and in-camera charging is 5-7 hrs for a fully
depleted battery. In the optional docking station, charging takes
2.5-3.5 hrs and using the optional rapid charger, charging takes 1-2
hrs. ... }
Find the wall charger - most any usb mini that has the right out power amount [ do NOT over do it or you can burn the unit up] - Anyway - try the wall unit - if after 48 hours it refuses to take a charge - get a new one from www.tigerdirect.com for well less than the price of a battery. Good luck Gary
From dead flat it takes about 9-10 hours do not leave on charger for more than that otherwise you will overheat and burn it out. After each use recharge for about 3-4 hours depending on whether the unit has been used for that lengthyof time
More than likely when you reinstalled the gps receiver (the board with the wires connected to it) at the top of the receiver you did not position it properly. If it is not positioned properly it will not receive a satellite signal
connect the garmin to your computer using the usb port. It will start charging then. For some reason when the battery goes dead in this unit the only way to charge it is with computer. the car adaptor will not work once the battery gets real low.
My Quest2 has a short in it that drains the battery even when it is turned off. But the battery lasts normal 15 to 20 hours when fully charged and unit is on. Whenever the battery is completely dead, I have to place it on the charger for a hour or two before the unit will even start even though it is plugged plugged in. The battery can be replaced by the staff at batteries plus for under $60.00
My garmin street pilot c320 will not turn on also.
