Televisions covered: all Projection with yellow picture, but not Projection TVs with a yellowish tint surrounding objects in a nearly normal picture.

Yellow = red + green
normal picture = red + blue + green (RGB). See illustration.

Fig. 1 Additive color mixing in an RGB monitor, or RGB Projection TV.

The circuitry powering your blue output, or the blue light engine itself is starting to fail.

Operating Theory:

The lamp module shines a bright light into the optical unit; there are a series of lens and baffles, and at the top of the light engine, a lens puts the picture into a mirror which is reflected onto the screen; All video and color is processed thru the light engine. Blue most commonly fails first, leaving a yellow picture.

Hello, Ive bought a new Sony Bravia KDL37EX402 television a while back and hooked it up to my computer via hdmi. When i turn on the television it blinks after 3 to 5 minutes from black, back to the...

Sounds like something must be loose. Try seeing how secure the hdmi port is on both ends first, unplugging them and then firmly plugging them back in. Then if the problem still persists, try unplugging the T.V. for a solid minute and then plugging it back in. If it still occurs, something might be loose on the inside, and you'll probably need some outside repair work done. If you purchased a warranty then you should be covered. You should also be covered if you didn't but the T.V. is less than a year old.

is the blurry all around the picture have different color like a smear of red, blue or yellow?
if it is i think the posistor of your tv is not working. it is the one who activate the degaussing coil around the picture tube the prevent color miss-landing upon opening your tv set.

Mitsubishi VS 50805/60805 blue/yellow shadows on screen

Ok try turning the tv of for 40 minutes by the power point and back on. that way it will reset picture - and should go back to normal please let me now how this goes ((By a rating

Make sure you un plugged it by the power point for the 40 minutes
also make sure there is no speakers or anything magnetic within 60cm's of the tv this can also cause the picture to have strange colors in the screen - if that happens simple do the above

This can be so many things, could be the color wheel, lamp, etc...depends on the type of tv.... If you got it from Best Buy and are in your 1 yr warranty or if you bought the service plan ( a must with any electronics) then give them a call and you will be all set.

Yellow hue

1)Please verify your model # from back of set......

2)Reduce the color to minimum or tune in a black & white chan.
you should see gray, not yellow hue

3)Remove lower front grill cover & access panel.....locate the
focus / screen control block...turn blue screen control slightly
CW......red,green and blue must mix to equal gray

4) reset color to normal level.......reassemble
