I had a similar model that I loved, and it lasted 5 years! Finally it died, and I was so excited to get this B60 Special Edition for Christmas. The coffee is terrible. Doesn't matter what coffee I use, how much I clean it, how many cups have been run through it. It tastes bitter and toxic. I can even smell the plastic, toxic smell when running just water through it. I have read many comments with the same problem. It seems there would be a recall if this was the case though. All I know is I can't deal with this taste and with wondering what toxins I am ingesting along with my coffee. What is going on with this model?
SOURCE: Bad tasting coffee
Hello. Usually bad taste is one of 3 things, water quality, coffee quality is changed, or brew temp is different. Try removing all the water, by tilting the unit over the sink, unplug please, so the end where the funnel would go is draining the water into the sink, go slowly. Once all the water is removed, refill it with fresh water until it comes out the spray head/funnel area again, plug back in, heat and test. Now there could still be residue in the tank, and it may require doing this a couple of times to clear fully. Try another coffee, may have just had a bad can/bag/etc..
Last, take the temp of the water coming out of the funnel, should be about 180 deg. F, if not it could be too cool, and needs a thermostat or element. If you need a service provider, go to www.bunnomatic.com and locate a service near you.
Hope that helps, and thank you.
SOURCE: Strong plastic smell and taste on a new Keurig Platnum coffee mak
I had the same problem and I discovered that after running 3 resevoirs full of water through the machine at 192 degrees , it got rid of the plastic smell. Set the cup size at the largest size mug and then just open the lid and close it , hit brew and let it fill the cup. Dump the water in the sink and repeat until you go through at least 3 resevoirs. The smell should be gone by then.
SOURCE: The coffee tastes bitter...how do
Run water through nthe device like you are making coffe but ensure that there is no coffee in it. Try doing this a couple of times it should clean up the chambers where the coffee go through while it is being made. Usually coffe starts to taste bad when residue from coffe that has been made inside the machine starts to mix with new coffee being made. Running ordinary water through the unit ensures that most of this residues are removed.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

Have you tried Descaling? In the manual, it recommends Descaling every 2-3 months, even though you mentioned that you've had yours only 1 month. Worth a try, anyway.
I know they carry a water filter thru Keurig.com for less than $18 that you install right on the water pump in the water reservoir if you live in an area where the mineral deposits are heavy. It lasts 2 months and you can buy 6 replacement cartridges for $25. I just put one in mine today and it took less than 6 minutes to install (5 of those minutes were spent just soaking it in clean water).
If that doesn't help, you can call their Support Team @ #1-866-901-2739 between 7AM-12 Midnight EST. Make sure you have the serial # of your machine before calling. It's located either behind the drip tray (just pull it out) or on the bottom of the unit.
