In my 2005 Ford 500, I get the same thing part of the time. I have a six CD player. The CD player does not recognize a legitimate CD. My solution has been to eject and re-insert. If the CD player does not recognize that I put a CD in and will not eject, I simply tell it I want to load in that position and it will eject. Short of replacing the unit, I do not have a repair solution. You may want to try a cleaning disc. I did but still have the problem but less often.
Simple solution, make sure that when you turn your xbox on and off, the disc drive is empty. When you turn your xbox on without a disc, let it load and whatever. Just wait until it gets to the profile screen and then put your disc in, works everytime
what kind of media are you loading? is this a DVD or a program disc? If this is a DVD disc, try loading a music CD or other type of disc to see if it is recognized. If so, its possible your PC DVD is unable to recognize that specifc type of DVD. Try other DVD's which you know worked before using Vista. Even though your machine says the device is working properly, check the Lenovo website for updated drivers for the DVD and the board chipset. Let me know if updating the drivers does not work. Meanwhile, I'll see if I can find out any more information from Lenovo.
It sounds like you need the firmware upgrade for your BDP-S300. You can download it from Sony's website, burn it to a disc and load the disc to upgrade your player.
