Could be loose nuts under top cap also
Http://hobart.co.kr/manual_pdf//013.pdf this is a manual of parts, speed is controled by gears. if you are not sure of what you are doing call for service from hobart or an authorized tech. it is a messy job to boot.
I actually did call Hobart and they told me that they only service their units if itss in a commercial facility . I own this unit and it is in my home. I then tried the internet and came across fixya website. I figured I would give this a shot. Any further inputs is greatly appreciated.
you most likely have a broken shifter. unless you know of a used equipement vendor that might work on it, you are probably stuck. I have done one before with help, would not try it alone. good luck
the shifter your referring to, is that called the yoke shifter? Can you please provide the reference number by using the 013.pdf file listed hkapptech? thanks in advance.

I have a Hobart Mixer A200 model that does not change speeds. It seems like its stuck in one gear, but I am able to move the Shifter Handle. Any ideas
