Connect the monitor to the laptop. Use a standard VGA-to-VGA cable. Plug one end of the VGA into the VGA-out port on the left side of the laptop. Connect the other end of the cable to the VGA port on the rear of the monitor.

go to dell website to download the driver for sound, when you get to dell website click on driver then type in the space provided for search type the model of your laptop model i.e dell latitude e6410 driver after typing it then press enter to search for the driver.immediately you search for it then download it.after downloading run it,it will work.
