Fedora 10 What did you think of the new Fedora 10 Beta version? is it worth upgrading now or should i wait?

Using fedora 8, you will never get the correct drivers for anything. Upgrade your fedora install to at least version 12. They should have the drivers installed by default with the network manager.

New everything if you're dead set on Windows 7; it's not at all in line with Win7's box requirements. Try the Fedora 15 liveCD (with 2GB DDR) or fixing up your phone app environment until then, or merely buy a new hard drive with the memory (going through the BIOS again to set timings, natch) to install Fedora on so you can give it a try (and avoid overwriting any important data still on the drive you have.)

1GB is really low; e-readers and console logs can suffer along with that, and it's a lot of writing, but it's not likely worth the electricity to run that old system long.

If you installed IE9 beta over IE8 you can roll back to IE8 from Add or remove programs in control pannel. Is better to choose a stable version of any program, not Beta because beta is in teste mode and is not certified that is working with any software and addons.

Yahoo messenger 10 beta still not fixed, you will need to wait for some more days.

Yes, because that is a beta version. You either need to update the beta version with an RTM version or wait until October 22 to get the full version.

I actually have one of these, I just went and got Fedora 10 (Fedora version of Red Hat Linux vs. the pre-installed Linpus version of Red Hat Linux) and installed it instead. Anyways, there should be a way to take the cd, load it onto another computer, and have it put itself on an empty 2GB (or bigger) USB thumb drive if you can't get a cd loaded onto it. I did this several times before I went to Fedora 10, and the wireless works in Fedora 10.

yahoo 9.0 is a beta version and i think its having issues with windows vista

just down grade to yahoo 8.1 that would be the best solution for now and you can wait until yahoo fixes all the issues with the new version.

ya there is a problem with driver while installing fedora core 4 i think ... u must have also tried in that only ... so i suggest you to install other version of linux... there are many other versions available like ubuntu,mandrake,redhat. or you just give try with installing the latest version of fedora core ...( try fedora core 6 or 7)..
as linux is a open source for all you can download it from net for free.............
