To change the cable box control, you will need to do the following:
Locate the cable box remote: Most cable boxes come with a remote control that allows you to change the channels and adjust the volume.
Change the cable box settings: Use the remote to access the cable box's menu and change the settings as needed. This may include selecting a new channel, adjusting the volume, or changing the aspect ratio.
Pair the remote with the cable box: If you have a universal remote, you may need to pair it with your cable box in order to control it. This typically involves pressing a button on the remote that allows it to search for compatible devices, then selecting your cable box from the list of available devices.
Program the remote to control other devices: If you have a universal remote, you may also be able to program it to control other devices, such as your TV and sound system.
If you're having trouble changing the cable box control, you may need to consult the cable box manual or contact the cable company for further assistance.
Remote controls normally do not adjust stereo volume levels independently, and I will assume that the problem is present on ALL input settings (tuner, CD, etc.). Check "balance" control settings, speakers and speaker wires for possible problems. Balance control at 12:00? Inspecting speaker wires and speakers do not reveal problems? Have you swapped speakers to see if problem reverses? Try this "process of elimination" and hopefully you'll ID the problem.
Try website like Remotes.com to buy the original remote it ur best bet.Tries the manual control on the tv.Push the Menu button use the channel + - and the volume + - on the manual buttons to adjust colors, contrast, brightness.
Hello,
Reset the remote control and use with the equipment .
If it does adjust volume, change channel. then use have to get another one of different model
This set was a massively stupid idea and requires the remote control for everything. You'll need to buy a universal remote control, which should give you the basic functions (power, volume and channel control), but might not get you access to picture or sound adjustments. I don't think this set had any special features.
Push the "menu"button on the front of the unit. That will get you into the menus to adjust any setting, like caption, language (but that one is tricky if yours happenend to be set to a language you couldn't understand :P), brightness settings and the such are there too. The one you are looking for is "input", change THAT setting. with either volume up/down +/-, or channel up/down (+) (-). In the menu, change the "input" selection to cable or whatever you are trying to watch on the tv.
Hope this helped some, if so, please rate, thank you!
Channel setup V-Chip Setup Caption ect.
Using the Volume + and - along with the Channel up (+) and down(- ) key's, will give you all the adjustments you may need without a remote control.key's, will give you all the adjustments you may need without a remote control.
Hi,all the tack swicth of your front panel tv is defective ,because as you said when you change the volume sometimes is turns off meaning you have coroded swicth that makes your system control IC of your tv malfunction when you touch the button,in this case you may need tv technician to repair it.
Usually on a universal remote (after programmed) the volume is controlled by pressing the cable button then adjusting the volume. When you turn your tv on by pressing tv power---then flipping through the channels by pressing cable--channel up or down. The remote (in my experience usually only controls the volume while in the cable mode)
Can I ask you something? I have the same but the remote doesn't work, and I have no sound in the B speakers. I wonder if there's something that I have to do with the remote, or there's a problem with the receiver, Thanks.
