Here's what you can try to get your scanner working:
Samsung's Official Website: Visit Samsung's official website and navigate to the support or downloads section. Look for your specific printer model (SCX3400) and see if they have scanner drivers available for macOS 13. Samsung may have released updated drivers that are compatible with your operating system.
Use Apple's Built-in Drivers: macOS typically includes built-in drivers for a wide range of printers and scanners. Sometimes, these built-in drivers can work with your printer's scanning function. To check if your printer is recognized, go to "System Preferences" > "Printers & Scanners" and see if your Samsung printer is listed there. If it's listed, try using the "Open Scanner" option to see if you can scan using the built-in driver.
VueScan Software: VueScan is third-party scanning software that often provides compatibility with a wide range of scanners, including older models. You can try downloading and installing VueScan to see if it can recognize and work with your Samsung SCX3400 scanner.
Check for Updates: Ensure that your macOS 13 is up to date. Sometimes, Apple releases updates that include improved compatibility with various devices, including printers and scanners.
Contact Samsung Support: If none of the above methods work, you may want to contact Samsung's customer support for assistance. They might have specific recommendations or updated drivers available for your scanner on macOS 13.
Consider Compatibility: If your printer is quite old, it's possible that Samsung may not provide updated drivers for macOS 13. In that case, you might need to consider upgrading your scanner or using it with a computer running an older, supported version of macOS.
MacOS does not support PCL driver (only the latest versions of MacOs support it). You need to install the PS (PostScript) Driver but for that your machine needs to have PS installed to.
This is optional on several models.
If you really what to print with your Mac and extract all functionalists you have to put this optional.
You could go around the problem by installing in Your Mac a virtual machine with Windows...
Hope this helps
You mention that the driver is named "HTC driver.exe". Are you sure it's a version for MacOS?
Usually files named ".exe" are for the Windows operating system. It's possible that you're trying to use the wrong file for your operating system.
Try looking on HTC's website for a MacOS X version of the driver instead.
Mac OS X won't run on your pc... you can however run windows on a mac now... the latest generations of macs will allow you to run both systems... pretty cool .. sorry it won't work the other way...
Hello, difficult question....
I have not found a new model that has MacOS 9 Drivers....
Would you be interested in a second hand printer, because you should be able to get your hands on an EPSON 777 inkjet printer it's a good printer and MacOS 9 and MacOS X compatible.
