First login your account then on your homepage, on extreme right side, Click on "Account". Drop down will open then click in "Account settings". Page will open , on it last option will be "Deactivate account". Click on it. Your account will be deactivate

Log in into your facebook account.Go to your account settings. At the bootom of the page you will find DEACTIVATE ACCOUNT. Click on it and your account will be deleted.

Click "Submit" and follow the instructions.

Your account will be deactivated for two weeks, and if you DO NOT USE FACEBOOK IN ANY WAY during that period, your account is permanently deleted.

I REPEAT: Your profile isn't deleted right away! You must NOT log in to, or interact in any other way with Facebook for at least two weeks, as it will cancel the deletion request. That includes NOT logging in to Facebook using any client (like the iPhone app or IM:s like Pidgin), NOT clicking embedded Like-buttons on other websites, NOT logging in to other services using Facebook Connect (like Digg) etc.

Based on many success stories, I know for a fact that it works. The crucial step is to not use your Facebook account for 14 days after you've requested deletion. Only the slightest interaction with Facebook and the deletion is cancelled!

to delete your facebook account simply follow the steps below:

1. Log into your Facebook Account, using your user name and password.
2. Once you have opened your Facebook Account, look by the top right corner of the page and click 'Account".
3. From Account, scroll to "Account Settings" and click it.
4. From Account Settings, scroll down to the last option on the page and click "Deactivate Account".
5. From "Deactivate Account" you will be asked to enter your password.
6. Enter very information required and that's all.

If you follow the steps above, your facebook account will be successfully deactivated.

Facebook is not down. I can access my facebook account.

Try to access your facebook account in another computer, if you can access it, the follow the steps below on the problem computer:

* For Internet Explorer:
1. Run Internet Explorer and click on 'Tools' menu.
2. Go to Internet Options and locate the Browsing History section.
3. Click the 'Delete' button and delete the Temporary Internet Files, Cookies and History.
4. Close the Internet Explorer and re-open it.
5. Access your facebook.

* For Mozilla Firefox:
1. Run Firefox and hit 'Tools' menu.
2. Go to 'Clear Recent History' and click the drop-down arrow for 'Time range to clear'.
3. Select 'Everything' and then hit the 'Clear Now' button.
4. Close and re-open Firefox
5. Access your facebook.
