Hi,
Since you reset the router, the username and password were set back to its default values as well. For Netgear, the username and password is:
Username = admin
Password = password
The only way to recover a password is to reset the router to Factory Default.
To do this:
Use a paper clip or something small and hold the reset button on the back for 10-12 seconds. (WARNING! this will remove all settings and bring it back to the factory default, you will have to re-configure the router.)
Once defaulted, enter admin for the username and password for the password.
To retrieve the WEP "code"..... you will need to access the Router with a computer connected to the ethernet port on the router. You will need the Username and Password for the Belkin.
You should be able to access the unit from your browser.... by typing in the following IP Address in the address bar.....
192.168.1.1
Most of these wireless routers have "default values"
Username= admin
Password= password
If Belkin does not respond.... you may need to push in the reset button.... with the power on. This will reset all values to default. Then just try again....
Under Wireless Options... You should see the SSID and the WEP Code
Howdy, usually just unplugging for a minute it will reset it to factory. There is also a pinhole reset button on the back or rear of some models. The default username is usually USER and the default password is usually PASSWORD. Not super creative, but easy to remember:) Hope this helps some.

Linksys reset
The easiest method of resetting your Linksys router’s password is to reset your router back to the default factory settings. This is done by simply holding down the reset button located on the back of the unit for at least 30 seconds. Once the router has been reset, it must be reconfigured. Using your web browser go to URL address http://192.168.1.1. You will then be prompted to login to your router. A log-in screen asking for the password will automatically appear. At this time enter the default password “admin”, in lower case letters into the password field. The username field may be left blank at this time. (Note: both the default username and default password are set to “admin” on some of the newer Linksys router models).
It sounds like you have either a virus or some spyware that is hijacking your attempts at connecting to your router. If you have any anti-virus and anti-spyware software you should run a scan by both programs. If not there are a lot of sites on the web that will allow you a free scan.
1. hard reset ur modem ( it will set to bridge by default) 2. connect ur modem to WAN port at netgear router 3. connect ur pc to LAN port at netgear router 4. by default ur pc ip should be 192.168.1.x 5. type at IE/firefox address bar
